There are in fact times being a black system is dangerous.

white-presenting alters forgetting the bodies race can be dangerous. we once got approached by cops waiting for our white partner to get off of work. they had their hands on their guns before we even had the chance to talk back. we didnt quite escalate it but we definitely didnt deescalate either. we responded in kind to their rudeness because we werent doing anything wrong. simply walking around an empty parking lot so we didnt fall asleep waiting. if not for our white partner noticing and immediately coming to our rescue all sorts of things could have happened.

There were times when we were followed around stores while already in a paranoid state and if not for safegaurds would have flipped out on those people.

part of our system forming was because the way black bodies are policed. we have alters whos whole role is to safe guard us. to keep track of code switching. to know how to react to police to microagressions to danger.

i once worked at a cafe whos owners had ties to the KKK (LIKE LITERALLY THE KKK) and di not pick up on being financially abused by the place because we needed the money. we couldnt lose the job. so our brain ignored the red flags until i was alone with the owner and bam flood gate of racism and microagressions and names of churchs and friends came flooding back because my brain knew being alone with him was too much too dangerous.

even in my pysch eval there was a segment talking about my systems need to stay functional. because black peole who cannot stay calm who cannot perform get murdered they get hurt.

no matter how much healing we do there will always be parts i have to keep BECAUSE we are black. i have paranoid delusions that tell me the government is out for me. cant get that to 0 because the government does want black people dead! hyper vigilance can hurt me. but i need to be careful and keep an eye on the white people around because being relaxed around the wrong white people is DANGEROUS! most people who specialize in DID are white! there are obstacles for us that arent there for others and it sucks because most of the time these things are disreguarded in the conversations around this disorder.

For me, censorship laws are a lot like the death penalty. There are people I wish would die, but I don't want the government to have any say over who lives or dies (because then they can stretch laws out to justify killing someone they dont like). There are stories that I think are reprehensible and should have never been written, but I don't want the government to have any say over which stories are reprehensible (because then they can stretch out what they deem wrong out to fit anything they don't like)

i think my hottest take is that transmisogyny is an intersection of transphobia and misogyny but transandrophobia is also an intersection of transphobia and misogyny that presents itself differently based on who the intended target is

1. transmascs being portrayed as whiny bitch babies for talking about their own oppression (a misogynistic stereotype being applied to transmascs)

2. reproductive healthcare bans on people with functioning uteruses that apply to transmascs as well as cis women

3. the lack of research on how masculinizing hormones affects the reproductive system of people with functioning uteruses (akin to the general lack of research on women’s health in general)

4. high rates of sexual violence toward trans mascs (people who want to commit violence toward people with vaginas will do so no matter what pronouns that person uses. do not ask me for a source on this one or i WILL traumadump on you)

NOTICE FOR PSYCHOTIC PEOPLES LIKE ME AND THE NEW TOMODACHI LIFE: Please please pretty pretty please be careful while playing Living the Dream, esp if you’re currently unmedicated!!!

The game treats the Miis like they’re real people and makes zero mention ever that they are not, and only ever refers to them and their POV as if they are real and you are their caretaker! While playing this honestly messed with my head pretty badly at times and made me worry a lot on if I was hurting real people/not doing enough for real people while I was playing!

I cannot imagine how much worse this would be for someone who’s unmedicated, non-dormant, or experiencing breakthrough symptoms! Do please be careful and PLEASE remember to have a way to reality check yourself while playing the game!!!

Also: If you’re not psychotic, please reblog this anyway!!! It may not seem like a big deal to you but these kinds of things are REALLY important to know for us psychotic folk in a world that is both hostile and negligent to us and our needs!!!

the thing about misogyny is that femininity is both devalued AND forced on women (and those misgendered as women). if you fail to meet the arbitrary standard of Womanly Charm you're ugly and unwanted and hate yourself and if you succeed you're shallow and brainless and weak. if you don't try to conform you're lazy and if you do you're vain. it is not possible to beat this system. feminism needs both "feminine doesn't mean weak or less-than" AND "women don't have to be feminine to have value", and if you are fighting for one of these the people fighting for the other are not your enemies, nor are they privileged over you.
