I'm going with a dear friend of mine for his first HRT appointment. We're both so pumped!!

* oh hell yeah, sweetpea, that’s fantastic! i’m glad he’s got you to go with him - it can be a dauntin’ thing, however exciting. i’ve got my digits crossed everythin’ goes perfectly!

omg! that fucking grocery store thing!! Like, they could just fucking donate and use it as a tax write-off, it's a fucking win-win you capitalist dicks 😠

* exactly. ‘s’messed up. it wouldn’t even hurt their bottom line, which is just the icin’ on the cake - because they’re already not making money off of it. and like you said, they could even benefit in the selfish sense even if they’re only lookin’ at tax write-offs as the upside.

* there’s somethin’ soul-achingly messed up with the way a society operates when it condones ‘n encourages waste like that that could help so many damn people if it was just shared.

Wait zoos are tiny???

* yes and no. the zoos themselves - as a whole - can be huge, some of the largest in america are around 100 acres i think... or somethin’ like 0.4 square kilometers.

* problem is a place like that can hold easily upwards of 600 types of animals... even if the animals are smaller, that still amounts to a miserably small amount of space per species. some places brag big enclosures, but considerin’ the animals they hold... it’s never even a fraction of what the animals should have. not to mention the fact that they’re often in places where they don’t suit the seasons, ‘n end up ‘in the back’ for significant portions of time when the weather’s inclement.

* it’s messed up, ‘n a big part of why i don’t like zoos.

I am not sure if anyone has asked you yet, but what are your pet peeves, what do you dislike?

* hmmm... that’s a tough one. i’m a pretty easygoin’ guy overall, and most of the things i’m not a bout i just walk on past ‘n let people go about their business. but if i had to say, then...

* people who say no offense right before sayin’ somethin’ clearly offensive, people who act like their pets can be vegans too, people coughin’ without even attemptin’ to cover their mouth, ‘n the fact that grocery stores toss out perfectly good food rather than donatin’ it to shelters or allowin’ their employees to take it home just because the box got beat up or the produce isn’t as pretty.

* also... zoos? can zoos be a pet peeve? those things are the worst. even if they say they’re only keepin’ animals bred in captivity, or ones that wouldn’t survive in the wild... those tiny conditions are just wrong.

* animal sanctuaries ‘n preserves are great - plenty of space to roam, ‘n all that. that ‘n rehabilitation centers - where the animals are kept in smaller enclosures, but while they’re recoverin’ or so on. even havin’ guided tours through sanctuaries ‘n the like - encourages people to reconnect ‘n see that the world’s more than just the immediate humanity around ‘em. my problem mostly comes in when it’s indefinite tiny landscapes, in places that are the antithesis of the natural habitat of where the animal should be livin’... ‘s’just wrong, even if the people immediately workin’ with the animals mean well. the profit companies behind it all? not so much.

* yeahhh, it’s true. one of those instinct things, i s’pose. from what i’ve seen, monsters from my universe tend to have more of… that kinda ‘monstrous & instinct-driven’ vibe than some other universes. we’re all on average pretty damn tall or large, have a lot of instincts we trust close to our souls, that sorta thing…

* … i’m the protective type, too. besides purrin’… well. nothin’ pleases me more than holdin’ the ones i care about close, y’know? can get a bit… intense about it, when push comes to shove… but tends to come out pretty warmly when i’m in that kinda relationship.

* Wound up wearing him on my back like a damn papoose while I tried to get some work done in the lab. And he just stayed like that. All day.

* man, thinkin’ of stuff on the fly is always so damn hard... hmmm...

* oh! fun fact: i know how to ice skate... but only in normal shoes or boots ‘n heels. no blades. no one had bladed skates in Snowdin - barely even knew it was a thing for humans.

* regardin’ heels, though... Pap had a thing for Metta-nerd’s heel game, so he got a pair. at some point, brotherly shenanigans turned into an all-out bet regarding who could get through all the ice puzzles the fastest without using magic to assist.

* ended up bein’ a dead-tie. talk about a cool challenge, heh. too bad all the pictures were destroyed.

Perfectly fluffy peach pancakes, crisp on the outside, made with sweet, fragrant peaches, topped with maple cream and whipped cream are the best breakfast!

I just can’t look at anything peach without thinking of you anymore, ha!

Hey Grim, remember I said I'm a baker? ... We had an order for 27 dozen donuts on Easter. Great, right? We called the church that ordered it before delivering just to verify their payment method (we didn't have an account on file for them yet) and the lady said that they hadn't placed an order for Easter. It's for NEXT Sunday. She was a real .. *deep breath* ... piece of work about it too. But hey, I got a dozen caramel pecan cinnamon rolls out of it... Still bitter about it all though. Ironic.

* hell, sweetpea, i’m sorry - that sounds like a nightmare to deal with... gotta love when people are so damn ‘certain’ they just take it out on the poor workers that are workin’ with what they’re given.

* on the plus side, you get your own delicious work. some sorta universal allowance to help right the totally valid bitterness, maybe. either way, that lady clearly is missin’ out and just doesn’t deserve the delcious baked fruit of your labor.
