This duo is underrated omg. Both are mirrors of each other. Canaries, selfish, plagued by death of their beloveds. Someone pointed out how Mizi's eyes are just like of a lamb; an animal used to represent innocence, purity, vulnerability but it is also obviously an animal used for sacrifice and to redeem humanity's sins.
Both are marked by 'innocence', that innocence differ between each. Luka's was genuine and Mizi's was a persona for survival. Both were 'innocent' because they refused to face reality, the pain, grief, guilt. They wanted to drown in the love for/received by their partner, but that same refusal of acknowledging things led to the death of the their god.
That's why Mizi hates Luka, because they mirror each other.
A lamb, that by all accounts, should be the ones to die for God, but the Gods were the ones who sacrficed for the lamb. So that the Lamb can live, yet both of them ended trapped in a cage.
Luka is still trapped in ALNST, Mizi is trapped in her self made nightmare. They are both haunted by guilt, trying to find an answer, trying to live, but not managing to move forward. Idealism vs nihilism, both are nonetheless fantasy.
