Okay, but the reason I've suddenly stopped reading to reblog this is that Bendy is so fr about this, and I'm not joking about this, y'all.

Like, I get it, it's funny to think that 'welp, he is right' or 'he's not dead yet,' but guys, he really is right.

There is no cure for the Blot.

Bendy CAN die at any moment, and if the present crew doesn't fix the machine, Bendy WILL die (but I'm sure they will!....right?)

But rewinding back to the past, Past!Bendy doesn't know this. All he knows is that one day, He. Will. Die. So how much time does he have left? How much more can he do before his inevitable end? Would he still be able to accomplish his dreams and goals? Will he even make it to that point?

And what about Boris?

What will happen to him? Can Boris take care of himself once he's gone? What if Boris can't? Will Bendy have failed as a brother? I mean, he kiiiinda did when he just left Boris at the orphanage, but I'd like to believe that Bendy would've eventually returned to him (...I say hopefully, but honestly, we can't be too sure)

But let's not forget Dandy too. In the present, we can clearly see that Bendy still cares for him in some way, and from what I can tell from the past, the two were really close. Doomed yaoi

And uhhh, I'll have to finish this update to provide more analysis for this but I think y'all get my point?

Definitely gonna add this to my Bendy Character Analysis (Bro gonna make me write a whole dang essay on him T0T)

Be strong bendy fans! It's not gonna get easier! (Tbh it's not gonna get easier for any of the characters)

All in all if i'm being real i love the divide that people have on Bendy, it means we did a good job starting a conversation about what someone has to do versus what they choose to do.

Bendy is a complicated man, and i'll continue to say that, but its not like we made him like that for no reason.

It's fascinating to me how many people are willing to persecute as well as defend Bendy depending on what actions he's done, it's fun! I love seeing people discuss!

But remember don't take someone's hatred for a character/love for a character as an attack on yourself, i definitely understand that it can hurt viscerally when someone hates on something you like. Remember that we all come from different aspects in life and have different experiences! These are just cartoons :]

I genuinely just realized how well you’ve written bendy. Like I always thought he was well written but didn’t know why. And it’s because you write him like how someone with chronic illness thinks. Chronically ill people have to be selfish to survive it’s not about being good or bad. Chronically ill people need to be selfish or there health can decline rapidly and possibly in the hospital. And I’m speaking from experience on that one. But bendy does it also when there no cost as well because doing so is what kept him alive. Like when he’s tugging on the chain with cuphead he’s being cruel and inconsiderate to the person who essentially saved him because to show consideration at all would leave him vulnerable to simply be respectful to cuphead. Also I like the line “ they deserve to die!” About the cupbros because bendy view them as strictly a threat to his life unlike Boris who wants to see the person inside. Again showing that need to focus on one’s own survival over the bigger picture. Another is when Dyle died. Before that happened bendy was actually helping Dyle move the shipment even though it was putting bendy in danger until bendy realized how severe the danger was and said he not risking his life for the shipment. Which I think shows bendy desire to actually be dyles friend. But when Dyle got caught and unable to leave that need to be selfish to survive came back strong. Bendy says he wants to live. Which is basically saying this isn’t personal. And after he’s sends Dyle to his doom he later says there was nothing I could do. Which is true he couldn’t if he tried the both probably would just die.

I also want to talk about mugman for a sec because he’s like the opposite of bendy. Where as bendy to existent owns he does bad thing to survive. Bendy literally believes being a good person is just someone who gets taken advantage of. Where as I think mugman thinks he’s a good person but has to do bad things because he forced to do so. He refuses to take accountability and plays victim in every scenario. My favorite examples of this when he punches goob and basically say not my fault because I’m the victim of the world. Which when goob lets him go once he realizes mugman not gonna hurt anyone and says now mugman can make his own choices. And mugman is in disbelief like he was just given a gift he doesn’t know what to do with. And feels like this is the beginning of a shift in mugman world view. That not everything in this world is evil or out to get him. It’s still cruel but there good in it too. Another moment is when Boris accidentally tugs mugman when trying to alert mugman of danger. Mugman automatically starts accusing Boris of doing on purpose and trying to use that as way to prove Boris is even some how where as Boris has shown nothing but mercy and patience with mugman. It shows that mugman believes everyone is out to get him.

That was bit of word vomit so to summarize it:

- bendy is well written for how a chronically I’ll person thinks

- mugman is well written for character who is stripped of choice for so long genuinely believes he doesn’t have choices anymore.

- bendy is always making sure he’s on top so he can never be a victim

- mugman believes he always the victim so he can handle his bad actions

I just realized they are both self centered and selfish and just use different reasons to justify it to protect them.

Okay so normally I don't really reply to stuff like this (and depending on what happens this may or may not exit my drafts) BUT!!!!! THIS. THIS RIGHT HERE.

Chronic illness can still be in a person, even if they look healthy. They can be of a normal weight, appearing like every other able bodied person, maybe even going to work normally or performing tasks you think you wouldn't be able to just fine, but they're still sick.

I'm not going to get into detail since this is very personal to me, but as someone who lives with a chronically ill person, and has watched them slowly get worse since I was a child, I appreciate this response. It gives us an idea of how long Bendy has been suffering from The Blot. He's become desperate now that he's discovered that there might be a way to end his suffering that doesn't involve him dying horribly, and that's shown in the way he acts around others, and how he may treat them as a result.

I also love how this shows why Boris is as determined as he is. From what we could see in this flashback, they're both pretty young. Imagine being in the shoes of Boris, watching as your older brother, the only family you've ever had, while his health slowly deteriorates as you grow up. You're perfectly fine, but you're forced to watch as your loved one experiences a slow, agonizing death that you can't stop. If I ever had the opportunity that Boris was presented with, I know I would take it.

Boris can't live with him FOREVER. He NEED to start living with his own.

Bendy notified him WEEKS befor, he did nothing without telling his brother and prepared him.

It feels like being a big brother/sister who wants to make his/her life and parents like: Take your brother with your walk with friends!

Bendy put his friends around him, so they can be HIS friends too! It's like: send your child to the kidgarden so he can see others people

Boris is TOO addicted to Bendy. It's not normal.

I can't understand, WHY people can't UNDERSTAND what Bendy NOT is a evil one here.

Mugman and Cuphead is different: they don't have so much OTHERS friends. Just each other

They love each other. They CARE about each other.

They are found family and someday Boris will accept Bendy's personal space

And Bendy will deeply understand Boris and will treat him more softly ( well, already sometimes)

This response scratched my brain a bit........ This dude does not care for labels, AT LEAST FROM WHAT IT SEEMS-- and it's probably from the fact of how the world treated him (the whole thing with demons in their society). Acknowledging that no matter how good you are, you're still gonna get hurt and taken advantage of, it's better if you make your way in by being an alive asshole than a dead honest person -> literally his whole character is based on how much he WANTS to live.

in the first panel he's looking at his hands like he's actually wondering the same thing or looking for some way for him to be a good person and then he's upset because he knows he's not

like it's stupid to imagine that he's good knowing what he's done and he's annoyed at the asker and himself for not realizing it

and then. because obviously he said when dyle died 'i want to live' and he's making peace with the fact that he prioritized that he chose himself over someone he maybe could've helped. he didn't know for certainty if he would've died if he took his hand but he knew that it wasn't worth it to him

I hate the "hes a woman to me" shit cuz he clearly isnt, you're just lwk being misogynistic or afraid of using the transfem label. I keep seein ppl who say that stuff also hatin on men and turning every male character they like into a woman and i js dont get it? Maybe it's some typa projection? I'm not too sure.

Its also the fact that men arent really allowed to be submissive without being called feminine or a woman. Its just stereotypes re-colourised to be feminist, its annoying. The same way women cant be bother vulnerable or headstrong, they always have to be one or the other.

Also where's the "She's a man to me" or the "He's transgender af to me" people. Where the transmasc hc ppl at? we need more transfem and transmasc hcs.

Im gonna be honest, while alot of people infantilize Bendy, I see way more people going on a hate train, and quite frankly, wanting him dead. Maybe im just in the wrong part of the fandom, but i dont see the babying as much as the demonizing (lol). Maybe that's just me? It just kinda goes to show that ppl cant understand complicated characters that often and immediately jump to either extremes. I will admit, I was one of the ones that thought Cuphead was controlling Bendy cuz of the red shit. The portrayal was a lil confusing but afterwards i did realise it was just Cuphead's way of telling lies.

But yeah, overall it just feels like no one is willing to give Bendy the benefit of the doubt whilst also making sure he still has his agency. I wish people would stop jumping on the Bendy hate train just because he isn't portrayed as the super mega king protag. He's a complicated person with an even more complicated background. I find it hypocritical that people are so harsh on him but alas, it is what it is i guess.

ultimately though: I do like that people are kinda giving us the two sides of what we want: Genuine reactions and character discussions!

Point being: I love bendy too, but i also know that we wrote him in a VERY complicated way and it's not easy to understand his actions or his behavior.

I can't blame people for thinking Bendy is an awful person just like I can't blame anyone for thinking Oswald doesn't care about his children: Bc ultimately we haven't even GOTTEN TO SHOW HOW THEY ARE YET!

We're only in the beginning of chapter 2, and things won't get better immediately: But we hope you'll enjoy regardless :]
