oh it totally does, but you can’t hear it because space is a vacuum and sound can’t travel through a vacuum! 

and that’s a good thing, 

because the roar of the sun would clock in at around 120db heard from earth, about the equivalent to having a train’s horn go off three feet from your face. 

constantly. all the time, even at NIGHT. there would be no escape.

NASA actually recorded the sun, if you want to hear it:

yo this is really cool but a little misleading- these aren’t actually audio recordings of our solar system!

so what NASA did is they pointed a radio telescope at various celestial bodies who were minding their own business and then took those radio signatures they had just captured and transcribed them directly into audio.

which! is really cool, and is a great way to start learning about how radio waves act, but it’s still not what our planets and sun would actually physically sound like to our ears. if, you know, space weren’t a vacuum.

and if we COULD hear it, the sun would literally just sound like a bomb going off constantly always and forever. yay!

(I have no idea what the various planets would sound like, but I bet Earth would be sloshy)
