Did Armand deserve an apology from Louis? Fuck no. But Louis saving both himself and Regina through empathy and compassion for the monster that Armand is - that was beautiful to me.

JACOB ANDERSON “Louis” Interview | The Vampire Lestat Red Carpet x
Why are people insane? Why are they threatening to shoot writers at a convention bc they didn't like the show they created? Why can't I enjoy gay vampires with other people who enjoy gay vampires without "ROLIN JONES MUST DIE" popping up?
The inability to draw a line between fiction and reality is Black Mirror level of scary. The laughable delusion that all of them are saviors on white horses who needs to save Jacob and Delaney and Sam from the clutch of the evil show that's holding them captive feels like watching the beginning of a Netflix murder doc.
I'm on my knees and I'm begging you to touch grass, see the sun, seek therapy. Put the gun down.
and if you dislike a creator's work, find another that's more to your liking instead of jumping to the conclusion that writers not catering to your personal taste is a war crime that merits execution.
i’m sorry but there must be a happy medium between proclaiming this show the most perfect and unproblematic to grace the planet, and saying that everyone who likes this show hates POC and queer people with a burning passion. as a fandom we CAN be more nuanced than this, some of the discussions right now are exhausting honestly

silly husbands, never change
if anything I think the writers think waaay too highly of their audience because at least half of them can not understand the slightest nuance. or even the RIGHT IN YOUR FACE ones.
I need to just somehow never go in the show tags next season. good god.
The way people are fully lying on jacob's name right now is really rubbing me the wrong way... so many people with negative opinions about the season and the finale are now using him, delainey and assad to further their arguments and i find that to be quite odd.
I've seen actors on shows they did not want to be a part of or talking about writing they did not like and i truly don't think jacob anderson would voluntarily praise and praise the collaborative process of iwtv/tvl if he were as unhappy as people keep saying he is. I assure you, after many years of watching bad tv and their actors talking about it, most people genuinely do not stand there and sing praise every time they're asked about a project they're unhappy with.
I also saw somebody say he didn't even want to do s3 which is just not true so that's #odd idk i wish people could just criticize things normally instead of using actors, especially actors of color, as a tool or a shield when they don't like something about the media they're consuming. It's very weird to me to paint these actors as victims, almost claiming that they're not allowed to be heard in their workplace. Why would you assume this? Why do you immediately believe they are being mistreated and silenced? Well respected actors that have been so vocal about the positive experiences they've had working with these creatives but you want to say people need to speak up for them? As though they would not do that for themselves? I wish a lot of people would analyze these things a little more before making those claims, and think about how harmful this narrative is.
And this is of course not to say that these writers are perfect or even that the cast is, but at least show enough respect to the grown professional adults you're trying to "defend" by giving them this label of victimized person of color that isn't respected or heard because they're not white. Genuinely think about that. Voice your criticisms as much as you like, of course the writing and the season were not perfect, but do not use these actors and weaponize their race to justify your hatred or further your arguments for choices you did not agree with, please look inward.
