âlove is love!â false, gay love is 10000x stronger and better than straight love
Serious answer to why there is an audience for books like âchanging tidesâ (where a lesbian falls in love with a man) is that many people, including other women, do not take lesbianism seriously: viewing it as an entirely political abstention from men and romanticize the idea of a gay woman overcoming the barriers in her heart to accept her true/natural/suppressed desires.
being a lesbian in these books is not treated as a complete sexual identity but a personality type (she is a Proud Edgy Self-Sufficient Womyn) and a plot point to add dramatic tension to the hetero love story.
i honestly wanted to die last night but thatâs also what pence wants and i am, if nothing else, a creature fueled by spite.
me in a dark forest hammering on the door of Nate Silverâs chicken-legged witch hut:Â WHERE ARE THE RESULTS
Nate Silver, through a chink in the door: patience, traveler! even the East Coast polls are not yet closed. shall i whisper to thee of the congressional races
me, hurling stones at him:Â DAMN THY TRIVIAL CHATTER, TINY WARLOCK!!!!!!! COME OUT AND TELL ME WHO FUCKING WINS
Why have I seen so much commentary, both from liberal news outlets and People on the Internet, that posits Trump as some kind of aberration? Like, why is it that in this year of our Lord 2016 the argument is that âthis is not locker room talk, youâre just the worstâ and not âwe have established that rape culture is toxic and pervasive like 50 years ago and this is ~locker room talk~ and thatâs the fucking problemâ? I mean, weâre starting to have all these documentaries on rape on college campuses and a seeming dialogue opening up about what happens when men get in groups and donât self-police dangerous behavior, and now Iâm wondering if itâs actually a trend towards recognition of the problem or just a fucking fad to give tabloids something else to talk about and Netflix to churn out a few documentaries.
Not All Men âą talk like that but a lot do, and an even greater number, like Billy Bush and everyone who was there with Trump, do nothing to stop it. That is the problem.
me, a cynical gay, watching other gays date and fall in loveÂ
my gay ass every time hayley kiyoko explicitly says âgirlâ in a song:

my Straight Allyâą friend: haha, well, actually, things Canât be gay. people are gay. and itâs not a big deal anyway

i canât believe the macarena was a thing that the entire country just. went through. like the entire united states was just in a fugue state where the macarena was the only dance you could do. for, like, several years, too. this wasnât just a gangnam style-esque flash in the pan. the macarena STUCK AROUND. and i bet that a not-insignificant chunk of my followers wasnât even BORN at the time. which is. yikes.Â
i remember the macarena. the true test of âwere you sentient in the 90sâ was probably âdid you ever do the macarena in a group setting before it had long since become an international joke?â the answer is yes. (i have strong sense memories of doing the macarena at sea world. why is this real.)
Pokemon Go does not âtrick you into exercising.â It simply gives an incentive and attainable reward for doing so that is more appealing than my anxiety is daunting. I know exactly what it is doing and I am fucking grateful.
I took a deep breath and listened to the old brag of my heart. I am, I am, I am.

âThe biggest homophobes are just gays in the closetâ is homophobic and I canât believe people actually think itâs true.
straight people love this myth because it absolves them of having to examine their (conscious and unconscious) homophobic biases
