Healthy Eating Month - Video Alert!
WARNING - THIS SANDWICH IS NOT HEALTHY!
Last month was Healthy Eating month in Skooville, we had a heap of activities, forums and chats circulating around this topic, but we also had a competition..
Our users where asked to post a Weird Sandwich recipe into the Q & A section in Skooville, where posts can be up-voted and down-voted.
This competition was super popular and our winning recipe was from PranaatiK.
I was thinking of a sweet sandwich so here i go. Lollies on the bottom or chocolate, Put some Strawberry ice cream , more lollies or chocolate , then melted chocolate, 1 spoon of icing suger , and more lollies and there you have a sweet and yummy sandwich.
So what was the prize for this amazing entry? It was having one of our mediators, Ash, make and eat the sandwich on camera!!
It made for a pretty funny video... check it out here
If you are having trouble viewing this video (because Vimeo is blocked at your school) log into Skooville and find it featured on the hub.
Brand new EASY reporting button!
We have added a new reporting button on Skooville to make reporting even easier for our young users.
The report button is so easy to use, that it may be considered fun... but be careful, the mediators don't like false reports!
If you have an issue, whether bug related (something isn't working), you've seen some rule breaking or if you just need a helping hand, click the new 'Report' button on your Skooville toolbar. You'll be taken through step-by-step on how to create a well formed report to send to the mediators.
Check out some of the screen shots above! :)
Sorry - It's not you, it's us.
Hi teachers, parents and users, we are sorry for the technical issues that have been hindering some of you in Skooville.
Unfortunately, it is linked with the change of name being implemented behind the scenes and screens. For more information about our name change from Skoodle to Skooville, click here:http://www.skooville.co/d/skoodle-or-skooville.
Hopefully by now everything will start going back to normal and Skooville should be running as smooth as ever. If not, please let us know!
Lots of love,
The Skooville Team.

How do you get to school everyday?
A lot of people live close enough to school to walk, walking to school is great because it helps the environment and keeps you healthy! If you normally drive or get the bus, see if you can walk or cycle in one day and help make our planet greener.
Competition time!
Tell us how you get to school... Make us something to represent your travel to school everyday. You can draw a picture of the people you drive or walk with, write a poem, sing a song, draw your feet or car, take photographs on your way or even write a funny story! It can be anything you like, just be creative.
The best and most creative entry will win a voucher to spend at a sports store to get you exercising more. Scan and send your creation to [email protected] before the 7th January 2013.
Paul says:
I get to school by walking because it keeps your body awake and healthy. It sort of helps the Ozone layer but it doesn't at the same time because people who travel in cars open it up a little bit! Very very soon we will have no air and then we are done for! :(
I walk with my niece and she is 6 years old. I am a responsible age to take someone to school. I am 10. My niece really wants Skoodle as well. She really wants it because every morning I go on Skoodle.
We love school. Yep, we do, it's so important to us that we have never ever missed a day of it. Well, I make it to my final decision. 4 letters, and it is WALK!
Also check out the awesome entry above from Tracy!
Take that bullies!
Here are a few of the answers to our Net Safety Week survey question 'Why do you think so many people are bullied online?'
"Because bullies just find it easier because at school you can get told on but online basically no one can find out what you have done."
"Cyber-bulling. They do this is be cool. (Which isn't)"
"I think so many people are bullied online because some people don't think before they do stuff or they just do it for no reason."
"Because people are jealous of something but can't say it right."
"Because maybe they had somthing wrong in their life and taking it out on someone else."
