She's another one of my redesigns I tweaked a bit.
I made her main more of a deep indigo color and put knitting needles in her main to hold it up because I thought it looked cute. Gave her some glasses, a mole, and her cutie mark is a geode to represent her ability to see the beauty in anyone/anything 😌
She's basically the same in my rewrite. I really like her character, I have a love for sassy characters. Some personal gripes I have about the way she gets written sometiems though... oh boy. Mostly in the later seasons.
First of all, I hate the Gabby and Spike episode because Rarity's behavior about Spike was just... odd. I think she'd be upset about her little mining buddy spending less time with her, almost like seeing a little brother grow up and becoming his own dragon. Overall, her relationship with Spike would be more of an aunt and her nephew.
And secondly, I hate how they tried to gaslight us into believing Rarity and Rainbow had nothing in common and that they weren't friends. There were already so many pre-established episodes that showed them spending time together and enjoying each other's company. THEY COULD HAVE GONE TO THE SPA!!!!!! Rainbow Dash is shown to like dressing up from time to time, and Rarity would go with Rainbow to accompany her to Wonderbolt's practice when she was only a reserve. I will not fall for the Rarity and Rainbow not liking each other propaganda.
And in my au, I'm not really a big fan of her boy-crazy attitude, and I think she would focus more on her work and her career. And she may or may not have her eyes on somepony else...
