she giggled. “please, i’ll BET you that you’re going to want to keep it longer. might even get attached, there’s nothing like the feeling of swimming with a tail — it’s liberating. besides, i think you’d look good with a tail.”

“need i mention that i’m not the strongest swimmer?  not that i hate the water,” he clarified. “i used to do it a lot more back in glasgow. that was years ago, though. a lifetime ago.”
