"아빠, Milo's not sharing!" Summer complained from her spot on the floor where she was sitting with her brother and playing with Legos. "Milo, share with your sister." Skyler ordered, sending the three year old a stern look. But the boy just pouted and held the Lego pieces close to his chest before protesting: "No!" That made Sky walk out of the kitchen and kneel down close to his son to speak to him. "Milo, If you don't share then Summer won't be able to play and it'll be harder to build the rocket. Don't you wanna finish soon? We talked about this already, didn't you feel sad when she didn't wanna share Mr. Hopps with you?" Sky asked, watching the boy nod slowly. "Then share the Legos now and she'll do the same with Mr. Hopps." He said, waiting until he saw Milo handing her sister some pieces of the toy and then going back to the kitchen. He kept his eyes on the kids as he finished the Lasagna, watching out for any other fights. But things seemed to work out fine after his intervention. Jaime was asleep on the couch, had drifted off after they all watched a movie together that afternoon and Sky let his husband rest. When he put the Lasagna in the oven, the model went back to the living room and player with Milo and Summer, as quietly as they could. He had put on an alarm to vibrate on his phone when the time was up for the dish. "Wait here, I'll be right back." Sky said to the kids when he felt the alarm go off. Putting on gloves, he took the Lasagna out, placing the container with the dish inside on the already set dinner table. Talking the gloves off, the model went back to the living room and grabbed both Milo and Summer up on his arms, tickling their sides to make them giggle. Next, he put them on top of his sleeping husband and said: "Time to wake daddy up." The kids started to tap on Jaime's chest and call him. "Daddy, wake up!" When his husband finally opened his eyes and held his hands up saying he was up, Sky chuckled softly. Moving around, he knelt down next to the couch, leaning close to give Jaime an upside down Spider-man style kiss. "Dinner's ready." He smiled as they pulled apart. @mishymix

Jai: Interesting. Both sides of the family hate each other so there was a bunch of drunk fighting and bickering all night long. Does it make me a bad person that I was actually pretty entertained?  Jai: I bet they were fighting over your lap all day. I promise to let you sleep in tomorrow for being such a good sport tonight Jai: But a kiss over our masks isn’t fair :’(  Jai: A surprise it is! Just make sure he doesn’t end up falling asleep before I get there or he’ll wake us up at the crack of dawn wanting pancakes

Sky: OMG, that sounds so chaotic! But no, it doesn’t. If I was there we’d be sneaking around trying to listen to the fights. 😂 😂   Also, now I really want to see how the pictures turned out! Haha Sky: You got it right, even Gucci joined in later on. Ahh, that’s really nice, thank you, babe 💜 But even with all that, they behaved well the rest of the time. Sky: Yeah, we’re not doing that. Kinda defeats the whole purpose of wearing masks. I meant kisses from the kids and Gucci! I’m not that easy, you know? Sky: Got it! Summ feel asleep while we were watching Disney movies but Milo is still watching and singing along.

Jai: I should’ve stayed home today to help you take care of the kids. I’m sorry ❤

Jai: but we’re almost done here so I will be home soon.

Jai: and tell Milo I’ll be bringing his favorite…an extra large pepperoni pie!!

Skyler: It’s okay, you couldn’t back out on the wedding last minute!

Skyler: How was it, btw?

Skyler: The most challenging part of the day was feeding them lunch while both Milo and Summer were clinging to me and giving Summ her meds but I managed so feeling proud 🏅

Skyler: Good! The sooner you get here, the sooner you’ll get kisses, think about that 💙But oh, you should probably wear a face mask as well? Just to be sure no one else gets sick

Skyler: That sounds so good right now, I’m getting hungry. Thanks! But I think it’ll be best not to tell him, or he’ll keep asking if you’re coming every 5 seconds haha. It’ll be a surprise 😄

Skyler: Can you grab dinner on the way home? I'll make soup for Summ but Milo said he wanted pizza. He bumped his feet on the table earlier so I kinda promised he could have it

Jaime rummaged through the fridge in search of something to eat. He’d been hungry for a couple hours now and yet finally being home he didnt feel hungry at all. The emptiness he’d felt earlier was gone and replaced with a sickening feeling at the pit of his stomach. When he didn’t find anything that caught his attention he closed the fridge, and although he knew he wasn’t really in search of anything he began to look through the cabinets too, because that was better than having to face Skyler right now. He just let him talk and only glanced back at him over his shoulder when he said ‘goodnight.’ He had half a mind to let him go because he knew anything he wanted to say wouldn’t come out right, at least not right now when he was too upset, but it’s like something in Jaime snapped. He aggressively closes the cabinet he’d had opened then turns around. “You don’t get to do that- not anymore. You don’t get to just run away whenever we have a problem or an argument. That’s not how it works. We’re married now, Skyler. We have to talk through our problems. That’s how we get through them- not by you ignoring me for the better part of a week.”

Flinching when he heard the loud noise caused by the cabinet closing, Skyler turned around to face Jaime. He studied the expression on his husband’s face and frowned a bit, not having expected to see him so angry. “I’m not running away now. But you didn’t seem willing to talk so what exactly was I supposed to do?” He questioned, crossing his arms over his chest in a defensive manner. “And I wasn’t ignoring you either, Jaime. I called and texted. I just needed some time away to recover because your accusation really hurt. I wanted to make you understand how I felt. At the time I thought if I stayed home we’d end up fighting and things could’ve gotten a lot worse. But in the end I realized that leaving while I was still so upset was wrong. And I came back, to tell you I’m sorry. And how much I missed you while I was way and to try and fix things. ” Skyler said in a softer tone, staring at Jaime. He didn't feel like his husband would be willing to back down so easily, though.

Jaime almost regretted making such an accusation at Skyler. Almost. They’d been through a lot but from all their past experiences he knew communication was key. Keeping something that was bothering him so deeply wasn’t going to do them any good so yes, he felt the need to ask whether Sky was cheating on him. Paranoia had crept in and made a home in Jaime. He felt guilty that it had pushed Skyler away. He understood that he needed time for himself, but with every passing day Jaime only felt lonelier. Even his best pleas for Skyler to come home hadn’t worked. He just wanted to talk things through in person and act like the married couple they vowed to be but by the fourth night Jaime simply felt like Skyler was running away from their problems. It only put Jaime in a terrible mood and the following day felt never ending. He didn’t bother sending Skyler any more messages because at that point he felt too defeated to even try so he put all this thoughts and efforts into his work. Surprisingly it was a productive day despite Jaime’s sour mood. Now all he wanted was to go home and unwind, but it didn’t look like that’d happen. “Hey bud.” he smiled down at the small dog as he bent down to pet his head. He drops his bag next to the door and sighs, eventually standing up straight and pushing his hair out of his face. Thats when he sees Skyler. He should’ve felt glee or relief, but instead theres a tinge of annoyance after his husband spoke up. “Well I’m glad you’re ready to talk.” But right now Jaime wasn’t in the mood and makes it clear he didn’t plan on having this conversation now by walking past him to go to the kitchen. 

In his mind, Skyler had came up with a few different ways Jaime could’ve reacted to his arrival. He wasn’t expecting to be welcomed with open arms and granted instant forgiveness. But even as he had prepared himself for it, predicted it even, it still hurt to see that his husband didn’t seem even a little happy to see him. Sighing, Sky doesn’t reply to his comment. Deciding to follow Jaime into the kitchen instead. He just watched the photographer quietly for a while, the silence filling the room. “We don’t have to talk now, then. I had a few days to cool down and prepare myself, I can wait until you’re ready.” The model said, looking up at his husband. “I can stay in the guest room in the meantime.” He suggested, figuring that if Jaime didn’t even wanna talk to him he wouldn’t want to share a room either. Sky missed their bed, and the warmth feeling of waking up with Jaime’s arms around him but he’d give him space if that’s what he needed. “You look tired, I guess I should just go grab my stuff so you can go rest when you’re done here. Goodnight.” Sky said quietly, sending Jaime one last look before turning to leave the kitchen.

The follow up from this

After arriving at his brother’s place and explaining – without giving out too many details – that he and Jaime had a falling out, Sky turned off his phone for the rest of the night and went to the guest room to sleep. Not that he was able to do it instantly, like he’d have liked. The look on his husband’s face and his words kept getting back to him. Sky kept replaying the last day on his head, wondering what he could’ve possibly done to give Jaime the idea that he was interested in someone else.

By the end of the first day, Skyler recieved flowers. Blue Hyacinths, that Spencer told him were usually sent as an apology. There was a card too, expressing exactly how sorry his husband was and asking him to come home. He texted Jaime with a picture of the flowers and thanked him but said he needed more time. On the second day, the photographer stopped by his workplace and left him his favorite home made spaghetti and meatballs recipe for lunch. Sky was in a meeting so he wasn’t able to see him, but he called that night and they talked a bit but the model still said he wasn’t coming home just yet. Jaime’s accusation had cut deep, he’d need more time to heal. The next day, he got a picture of Jaime and Gucci, two sets of puppy dog eyes staring at him, with the following texts:

Jaime ❤️: He misses you.

Jaime ❤️: But not as much I do.

Skyler was tempted to come back right away but deep down he knew he couldn’t. He needed to make sure his husband understood the consequences of his actions. The model could tell Jaime was sorry, but they’d still need to talk and he wasn’t ready for that yet. On the fourth day he was away, he was surprised to look at his phone and see an audio sent by Jaime. Opening it, his eyes teared up instantly as Sky recognized his song. The one Jaime wrote for him and sang as his vows on their first wedding. His heart felt warm, he felt all of the emotion pouring out as his husband sang now, the same way he did the first time he had heard the song, on his their first wedding day. It helped reassure him that they’d be okay. They could overcome this.

The next day, he came back home. He arrived after work, but soon realized that the apartment was empty. Except for Gucci, that came running to him as he used his keys to open the front door. Jaime must still be at the studio, Sky thought, petting his dog as he walked towards their room. The model took a quick shower, changing into silky grey pj’s, it was good to wear his clothes again, Spencer had let him borrow the itens while he was there. Skyler had just finished drying off his hair when he heard the front door opening and followed Gucci as the dog went to greet Jaime. The photographer’s attention was on their dog instantly, taking a while before Jaime noticed Skyler standing there. “Hi. I’m ready to talk.” The model said as their eyes met, keeping his expression neutral.

Sky: But I'm not doing it alone, I have you and Jaehyun with me. He's just been busy but he's helping too

Sky: I can't go to rehab, Jai. What if the media finds out? I wouldn't be able to book anything for a long time

Sky: Well, do you want to give me a heart attack on top of everything else?

Sky: And wouldn't it be better to tell them once I'm fully recovered? What if they don't believe I can do this on my own and try to make me go to one of those rehab centers?

Sky: I'm not doing that

Sky: I know you did, but please don't try it now

Sky: The snow will make the fire escape stairs really slippery! I'd be worrying about you the whole time
