It's not bots or Neurotypical Karensâąïž who run positivity and recovery blogs - it's fellow mentally ill people who are struggling to get better themselves. Every time you leave a rude, mean or otherwise negative comment on a positive post, you're actively ruining someone else's attempt to work on their mental health. It's not cute, it's not funny and it's not fair to the person in question who has to see all your bullshit in their notes. So please learn to just scroll past the harmless positivity posts you don't personally relate to for whatever reason. There's really no need to drag others down with you - and dragging others down with you is exactly what you're doing when you choose to have a public meltdown on someone else's post.
please do not comment on or reblog my posts with things that encourage negative thinking, self loathing, giving up, etc. itâs damaging to others, including myself, seeing something attached to a good sentiment. iâve been hiding as many as i can but please consider.

All lives canât matter until black lives matter.
People really flagged this as adult content⊠black lives are way more important than your feelings.
Black lives matter.

I know youâre sad, so i wonât tell you âhave a good dayâ. Instead, i advise you to simply âhave a dayâ. Stay alive, feed yourself well, wear comfortable clothes, and donât give up on yourself just yet. Itâll be better soon. Until then, have a day.
Also:
âI see youâre sick/sad! Let me do my best to distract you from that so you can stop thinking about it and feel better!â
âYouâre really excited about this thing and I donât understand it but Iâm trying to be excited about it too because you love it!â

Clean your room - or at least your desk/bed/floor. It will help your head to feel clear too.
Open your curtains & windows - fresh air and natural light can do wonders in my experience. Plus, it helps regulate your sleep, appetite, and mood.
Take a shower or have a bath - especially important if you havenât had one in a while. This will help you feel refreshed.
Put on clean clothes - and put the clothes you were wearing in the wash.
If you tend to spend all your time in your room, get out of it for a bit - do something in the kitchen or lounge, or go for a walk (even if itâs just around the block)
Stretch - there are plenty of stretching and yoga videos on you tube. Look some up and give them a go.
Drink a glass of water - and keep one near you too. Iâm sure you already know this, but staying hydrated is important.
Get the hard/important tasks out of the way while you have the energy - when we have mental illness, running out of energy early in the day is very normal. Try to get all the most important things done first.
Have some comfort food, but make sure you eat healthy too - itâs alright to eat something you like, but have some fruit and vegetables too. If you donât like plain fruit, consider making a smoothie instead.
Set some goals - it doesnât matter how small or big they are (eg. have 3 meals today, go for a walk in the afternoon), whether they are daily or weekly, but achieving goals can make you feel as though you have accomplished something.
And finally, remember that it is okay to have bad days - bad days donât mean youâve lost all progress in your recovery, and they donât make you worthless or a bad person. Donât give up just because youâve had a bad day/week/etc. Itâs okay to have days that donât go so great. Stay strong xx

blog goals: making someone feel a little less sad
even though I have so much good in my life now, I still am so absorbed with all the life experiences and time I lost to depression in my teens. it's so hard to accept that. but I need to do my best to do just that, mourn, and move on, because I don't want to lose any more
my friend: [needs comfort]
me: oh Dang what are the Comfort Words
me: *flipping through the manual* there there?
my friend: *cries harder*
me: oh No they were the wrong Comfort Words
Here you go, all the Comfort Words
If you ever plan to be a parent, read this and accept it or else you WILL ruin your child.
I NEED THIS THANK YOU
Use this. Thatâs all I can really say.
And if you say this to someone and they start crying harder, they were most likely still the right words to say
Agree with all of this. Here are some more ideas off the top of my head:
11. Itâs okay to cry. Crying is good for your body.
12. This is a tough situation.
13. Thank you for telling me.
14. How do you want to handle this?
15. I support whatever you decide to do.
16. This has been really hard on you.
17. Iâm sorry youâre going through this.
18. Can I give you a hug / rub your back (as appropriate for the relationship and specific person).
19. [Give tissue box]
20. [Silence]
