Okay I have a lot of thoughts and feelings about the 2026 draft order to sort through, but im also seeing a lot of people misinterpreting this as them not honoring the Gold plan, which is absolutely not true.

The league has been clear (at least this season) that the Gold plan only determines who gets the first overall draft pick - not the entire draft order.

The order they've gone with is a bit unhinged imo, but the Gold plan was used the way it has been intended all season - Vancouver won the Gold plan and therefore has been given the first draft pick.
