So I’m finishing up the first draft of a novel that I’m writing, and my friend said I should try and put it out there. I still have a long ways to go before it will be worth trying to publish, but I thought maybe I should see if anyone would be interested in reading it! It’s going to be called “These Shadows We Carry” and it is inspired by Sleep Token. I’ve been working on it for over a year now, and I hope that I can build a rich enough world that people will love full of characters people can relate to. This is a deeply personal story to me, and I can’t wait to share more about it over time!

I will share passages, character art and write ups, as well as some of the world.

Actually, before the fanart spam, I'm posting this. Like, I'm sorry but you are never going to convince me that this guy is a greedy anti-art capitalist who hates his fans.

Every single piece of the Sleep Token project is infused with his absolute love for music and art. The references and genre-blending in the songs, the fact that he had an entire graphic novel made, the fact that he drew so many concept pieces for the albums himself—he loves art. He is an artist, both musically and traditionally.

Starting off my challenge to make 1 zine every week until march, it’s some of my favourite baby birds!

I’m doing this challenge to try to kick my habit of overthinking and never starting stuff, though I will admit I’m posting this now on my self-appointed deadline day because I spent the whole week overthinking, gotta start somewhere I guess. Once I forced myself to just sit down and just start drawing it only took me an hour which makes me feel a bit silly
