I guess this happens frequently in hockey but the byron ritchie - ryder ritchie - gavin mckenna dynamic is crazy, like the most talented prospect in hockey comes to live with you when he's 12 and you're 14 and he's so good that your ex nhl player dad starts personally training him... you play in juniors together and you get drafted 2nd round and go to college which is nice but he's preparing to go #1 overall, and you love him and you're happy for him but...
