That’s interesting that the cup bros switched colors when acting, but why do they do it?

it was an artistic choice :3c! Since they were acting I figured it would be a fun opportunity to have them in completely different colors.

The episode synopsis is basically:

A theatre was having reruns of Champagne and Fizzy's movies and the girls wanted to watch them with the brothers.

However, a mortal enemy ran the theatre and sucked the boys inside the movies. But only the boys. Meaning the girls that you see on screen is not Champagne and Fizzy, It's Lucy and Olive.

In order to get out of the Movie, the boys need to play their roles in character. and whenever they go too off script, The scene restarts.

Thomas/Cuphead: Is a deranged, high-security criminal, who Lucy only speaks to because he could potentially solve a case.

Lewis/Mugman: The show's whimsical and funky uncle. This would theoretically be easy for Mugman to play if it weren't for Mugman having canonical stage fright.
