I can't believe this fandom is still taking Cullen's "Leliana has a blind spot about Wardens" at face value when the first words out of her mouth after recruiting Blackwall is how he's not at all what she expected.

She knows! She absolutely fucking knows. She had a transcript of a whole ass speech Warden Blackwall gave during the Fifth Blight, she knows he couldn't be in Ferelden. She knows the Blackwall that Inky brought back is a fake.

She just doesn't give a damn. Having a convincingly fake Warden allowed the Inquisition to make use of the Treaties to requisition resources to fight Corypheus. Leliana is pragmatic enough to go along with a lie if it gets the job done.

I bet the report on Mornay wasn't an accident either. She had her agents looking into Blackwall's background just in case somebody came along and exposed the ruse.

pov: you're anders, wandering around miserably and aimlessly after kicking off a mage rebellion that is not going so well. and all your friends disowned and hate you now. and in the midst of your regular nightmares about kirkwall burning, this random elf(?) spirit(?) pops up to give you a curt yet comprehensive 4 hour lecture on insurgency tactics. and then tells you to get to work and stop whining if you think your cause is worth it. which is, somehow, the nicest thing anyone has said to you in years.

pov: you're solas, wandering around miserably after killing your last living friend on earth, and then getting shot at by the last descendants of your people. and you run into this guilt-ridden nightmare in the fade, that reminds you of how you're feeling currently. despite being from this half-sentient human. and so you give yourself (and the human, since he's there too) a pep talk to keep going. it's not like you need friends or happiness, if your cause is necessary to save your people, right.

and then anders becomes the herald of andraste while trying to kill the divine. and then they kiss. do you see my vision?
