The person I reblogged this from deserves to be happy.
âAlan Rickman saw [Benedict in the make-up trailer on the set of Deathly Hallows] and said, âOh⌠you are me.â Benedict, a little panicked at that time, apologised by saying that his nose was not right, but Alan was very kind, telling him he had the same size nose as him at his age, and offered him a cake to calm him down.â â Benedict Clarke on meeting Alan Rickman [x]
Hermione & Severus
I think the fact that within Hogwarts thereâs a lot of distaste for Slytherin and Hufflepuff shows some interesting insight into the wizarding community. Like, Hufflepuff represents hard work and fairness, right? But thereâs the idea that Hufflepuffs are losers, sort of the proverbial nice guys who finish last. On the other hand, Slytherins, who represent cunning and ambition and personal drive, are seen as cutthroat and generally nasty and mean.Â
Ultimately, Hufflepuff and Slytherin are both rooted in philosophies on self betterment and achieving success in life, both in terms of being a better person and being a more powerful/wealthy person. The obvious question raised by Hogwarts studentâs disapproval of both Slytherin and Hufflepuff is this: if it makes you a loser to succeed through hard work and fairness, but a cheat to succeed through cleverness and an attitude of doing whatever it takes to achieve your goals, how is someone in the wizarding world expected to gain power/wealth/status if they arenât already born with it?Â
Itâs also worth noting that in a world where magic can do your work for you, Hufflepuffs are scoffed at for being willing to work at all, and Slytherins are shunned for taking advantage of magic to itâs fullest.
Also since Hufflepuffs donât really judge people theyâre the house thatâs most likely to befriend Slytherins

Not even in a romantic sense but Severus and Hermione being professors together would be hilarious because as the two youngest of the professors they would end up being besties.
Snarky Snape being miffed that Granger shows up way more prepared to be a Professor than he was.
Hermione lowkey annoyed that Snape didn't warn her not to go to the weekly poker night that Sprout puts on.
Them sitting next to each other at the head table during sorting and whispering one word predictions to the sorting and communicating with eyes and eyebrows.
People thinking they hate each other because they are constantly bickering but both of them find it fun and invigorating when they have to deal with dunderheads all day.
Snape seeking out Hermione when weird women hit on him.
Hermione complaining to Severus about her attempts at dating and he's her very sarcastic voice of reason.
Competitive as hell about test score averages.
Competitive as hell about house points.
Snape finding out Hermione doesn't like quidditch because she hates flying and him holding it over her as the one thing she can never excel at.
Hermione finding out Snape's actual stance on bullies when he punishes slytherins for bullying a gryffindor.
Discreetly handing hangover potions to each other.
Dumping detentions they don't want to over see on the other.
Both of them having bad hair days.
Oooops! When Hermione sets the Time Turner wrong and ends in the arms of Goth Boy Severus. đ¤Ş
