i don't think people understand how hard it is not to ship tomarry / harrymort because what do you mean they're borderline canonically soulmates. what do you mean they're PROPHESIED to each other. what do you mean they're literal parallels, had the same childhood circumstances but turned out the exact opposite. what do you mean harry's the embodiment of the light side and tom's the embodiment of the dark even though they're so, so similar. what do you mean they both have common names even though they themselves are anything but common. what do you mean they have uncountable amount of bible references that apply strictly to them, what do you mean harry makes sure to mention tom's the handsomest in the room whenever he sees him and apparently likes their connection. what do you mean their wands share the core of the same phoenix and therefore literally can't kill each other even if they wanted to. what do you mean harry wanted to give him another chance despite everything he's done, what do you mean tom offered him his hand, what do you mean harry killed tom at the same age except the order of the numbers is reversed. what do you mean harry's eyes are the same colour as tom's favourite unforgivable (avada) AND the colour of his house, what do you mean TOM'S eyes are the colour of harry's favourite defence spell (expelliarmus) and the colour of his house. WHAT DO YOU MEAN THEY ARE EACH OTHER'S OTHER HALF. WHAT DO YOU MEAN HARRY IS LITERALLY TOM'S SOUL??? 😭

Idk if this has a name but I love the harrymort fic trope where nagini takes one look at Harry and goes "yep mine now" entirely independent of whatever the fuck Voldemort is doing. Mostly because my boy desperately deserves affection and protection and I trust Nagini to accomplish this task but also because Snake Cuddle.

I think a good chunk of the draw of tomarrymort, aside from the tastiness of darkship and all the fucking crazy parallels they've got and the way that- I digress. The draw comes from the fact that there's no way in hell Voldemort would ever chase anything he didn't desire to have with a burning passion, and oh boy does Harry fucking deserve to be wanted.

Deleted Tomarry fics

I've recently set up a Google Drive folder linking up to many deleted fics. I have a little hobby of tracking down great deleted fics and downloading them for my pleasure, and I'd say I've gotten pretty good at it tbh. I didn't realize I have so many now, so I set up a drive folder and decided to make it public.

I have it organised by author, so hopefully you can recognize the stuff. I'll put the names of the authors in the tags, and you're def gonna recognize them. People on twitter are already freaking out about everything I have lol. (P.S. ever heard of yours, in murder by May Marlow? Read it. Cuz I got it.)

So please enjoy my library of recovered fics. I also take requests if you want me to find a deleted fic of some sort. Altho be warned, my area of expertise is tomarry, but I'm sure I could still track down a few fics.

Edit: Btw I'm still adding fics to this folder. So if there's anything you're missing out on I suggest coming back to check every once in a while.

Edit 2: There's an ongoing problem that a few people have brought up to me. Turns out some people can't open the files. The reason why is because I download the webpage directly from chrome, usually, and those are html files, but when I download the webpage, the file isn't automatically recognized as html for some reason, so I end up putting it into the Google drive and it's an unrecognized file type, which is why some of you can't open it. There's an easy way to fix that. Just download the file then rename it. Add ".html" to the end of the file name and you should be good to go. And for those that don't like to read html files, you can convert it to an epub or wtv else by using free sites like cloud convert and then you're good to go.

Shinsou really is looking like Aizawa, except he’s voluntarily wearing a dark button-down! Shinsou is now the hypnosis hero, Nighthide, and he’s not on the hero rankings chart, presumably because he’s an underground hero. (The name & eye mask seem like an homage to Nightwing, which is perfect considering Aizawa and Shinsou’s found father-son dynamic and vigilante connections.) Of course, running around with Class A probably elevates Shinsou’s profile and makes him better known than a 25-year-old Eraserhead, but okay!
