Anyone have an IUD form of birth control?? I’m trying to get as many opinions and information before I make a decision and it’s really hard to decide! I need to be on something, and with no period it’s pretty hard to gauge if I’m pregnant, and I do NOT want to be pregnant anytime soon, like ever, so I can’t risk it.
I have the Mirena and besides the initial cramps it’s been wonderful. I still get spotting around my period and after the first few months of not having a period you stop worrying about being pregnant. It’s comfortable and you can completely forget about it. I definitely recommend it. I use to have terrible, awful periods and horrible cramps and not dealing with that is amazing.
Ugh the cramps I used to get! My god, a nightmare. If this could help when it comes back that would be great. Did you have any weird side effects?
Like I said the initial cramping was intense but part of that is that I've never had a baby and my OBGYN said that after childbirth it's milder. I hope this isn't too much info but I had the heaviest periods that lasted five-six days and now I have a bit of spotting for a couple of hours. I don't even need to buy tampons. You just have to check for the strings about once a cycle to check that the IUD is positioned right but it's no big deal. My favorite form of birth control (I've used the pill, shot and patch before this). And I'm really sensitive to hormones and this doesn't bother me at all.

Bruin was outside and got struck by a car. He somehow crawled back to the house from the road with his pelvis not even connected to his spine any longer. Bruin can’t heal with rest and needs surgery as his pelvis is only connected by muscle. The surgery costs $3600 and I want to keep him. Bruin is only 2-3 years old and has so much to live for and we love him so very much.
Please donate anything you can, we need to raise this money ASAP. Please PLEASE share this.
His GoFundMe is here.

BitCoin looks like it was designed as a weapon intended to damage central banking and money issuing banks, with a Libertarian political agenda in mind—to damage states ability to collect tax and monitor their citizens financial transactions. Which is fine if you’re a Libertarian, but I tend to take the stance that Libertarianism is like Leninism: a fascinating, internally consistent political theory with some good underlying points that, regrettably, makes prescriptions about how to run human society that can only work if we replace real messy human beings with frictionless spherical humanoids of uniform density (because it relies on simplifying assumptions about human behaviour which are unfortunately wrong).

A snake was hit by a car. A woman picks him up, feeds him, and gets him to a full state of health. But then he bites her, injecting her with his deadly poison. On her death bed, she asked “after all I did why me?” The snake responds “you knew I was a snake when you picked me up.”

Frank Turner - Song For Josh @ The 9:30 Club, Washington, 4th June 2014.
Frank wrote this song about the passing of Josh Burdette, the manager of The 9:30 Club in Washington, who committed suicide. This version was being specially recorded, as can be seen by the extra microphones in front of Frank. Credit for this video goes to the person who filmed it.
