Baki is the strongest on Earth with sole exception for Yujiro, he's the only one who can truly challenge Yujiro and give him a hard time. Yujiro is proud of him, even if he doesn't state that out loud. Baki is his biggest accomplishment and biggest victory

unfortunately Yujiro is a sadistic tsundere and also a huge asshole so he does not express his love and care in conventional ways

that's just a headcanon because I'm a huge sap, but: Yujiro surely does not regret giving Baki hell of a childhood, but sometimes he wishes he was a little closer with his son and teach him something other than fighting. he thinks these thoughts are making him weak so he shakes them off

ALSO I've been thinking about that idea for a comic for a while where they're sitting together after a sparring match both fucked up and Yujiro says he's proud of Baki but when Baki asks what did he mean he hmphs calls Baki a baka and knocks him out OR they hug and break each others' ribs
