I’m 19 and a nursing student with a job, so very often busy!

Here to make friends and find content for things I enjoy and maybe get some study tips! Not always great with social cues; please tell me if something I do is harmful.

I try to keep my space positive for my own mental health! I am mentally ill, this is meant to be a space separate from irl problems, and I don’t want to argue with anyone over stupid things. Please respect that. <3 I love making friends!

Did some pottery painting today!! It’s not been glazed yet so the colours will be much darker BUT there was a mug in a restaurant I visited with fish on it and I was obsessed with it. Couldn’t find it anywhere to buy one SO I decided to make one!!

I really miss my grandfather today. His birthday would have been two days ago now. I feel terrible because my little cousin has the same birthday and everyone else at my family is celebrating at my grandma‘s today. I wish I could be there, because I really want to see my family, but I work. The gentleman who I work for as a caregiver is so sweet and reminds me so much of my grandfather. Every time that I remember he’s a grandfather, too, I get sad for some reason.

I’m very grateful that he was alive to watch me graduate high school, but I feel so terrible that he didn’t get to see either of my siblings do so. And even though I know it’s stupid, I feel guilty because the week before he died, my uncle had just died, And my dad asked if after my overnight shift, I wanted to go to the hospital to see my grandfather. I been visiting him regularly while he was in the hospital, but I had just gotten an off of a shift, and I was exhausted and said no. I didn’t know that he was going to die a week later, and if I had I could have visited while he was still lucid enough to understand me. And now I’m in the driveway and my car isn’t starting and I just wish the day would be a little more finished already, but it’s only 5 PM.

TREASURE PLANET OC DRAFT!!

This is Tala, I’ve made a species to fit into the Treasure Planet universe called Cyclophorids!! These are snail humanoids. Tala specifically is modelled after the Leptopoma Perlucidum. This is a type of snail that is typically found in Southeast Asia, and they’re often called ‘blushing snails’ after the red patches on their cheeks.

He’s for a prequel fic I’m planning, centred around the Interstellar Academy at Port Ivy back when Amelia was studying there. Tala is training to be a navigator, and adores studying cartography on the side. I’m going to do a proper drawing of him soon <3
