Toy Cabinet AU!

I’ve finally decided on the name for my very own Undertale AU. It is strongly connected to The Nutcracker story - the mice and the toys fought a War once, but when it was over (for whatever reason) the toys got locked up in the Cabinet.

The main theme revolves around abandoned toys, wind-up gizmos, a very important Key and little mouse Frisk being friends with a clown puppet Papyrus. Every time I think about this story I think about Puella Magi Madoka Magica and the music used in it. It is darker and heavier than it may seem - those toys are locked away and forgotten, after all, some still holding onto hope, some slowly losing it and becoming Broken.

I’ll be developing both the characters designs and the main plot in my own pace. I’d love to hear your thoughts about the whole idea and I hope some questions might help me in figuring out some major and minor things about the whole world.
