“Why… why do you want him to hate you when he has no reason to?” Sighs. “Look, why don’t you go to your room. Get you tea and cookies. We can talk this out while they heal.” Rubs her shoulders a bit. “You’re not alone… You have friends here.” Tugging her along gently wrapping his arm around her Shiro led her to her room. Waving for Pidge to bring some tea and cookies. Nodding the girl ran off. Gently sitting Hanami down on the bed Shiro sighed sitting beside her. “Because you’re our friend….. You mean so much to Keith, he loves you.” Smiles. “You matter to us too, so don’t worry okay?” 

She let Shiro lead her back to her room as she fought back tears. Sitting on the bed she stared dully at her lap. “I shouldn’t matter to anyone. I shouldn’t of been born.” she muttered as she bit her lip harshly. She gripped her shirt more and shook her head. “Why? Why am I your friend? Is it because I’m dating Keith? Do you just put up with me for that?”

Growing up with out a family… Only wishing for one…father leaving him behind and mother’s whereabouts unknown..” Sighs. “The list goes on for him…He’s just as broken as you are…. Hanami…  You’re both meant for each other, you both care for each other. You need each other.” Reaching for the girls hand as she made her way out the man shook his head.

 “You can’t leave… You can’t run away from everything. Look you need one another. You’ve been happy with him… He’s been happy with you..That much I can see, unless… you were faking it, if he doesn’t make you happy then fine… Besides where will you go… We’re not landing on earth any time soon.” Let’s go and crosses his arms. “This is all one big mess, you don’t have to leave him because you’re broken. Maybe you need him more than ever.. I know for a fact he needs you. This is a rough patch, you don’t have to do this.” 

“Am I really meant for him?” She felt Shiro grab her hand. Tears fell down before she stopped a bit. “I don’t know what to do anymore. I can’t do this anymore. I’m scared. I want him to hate me. I love him but I hate him right now....I want him to hate me...to resent me. I want him to tell me that he doesn’t want to see me.” she said before gripping onto her shirt.

“It is all one mess that we wouldn’t be able to work out.” she frowned before turning to Shiro. Tears were in her eyes. “All I’m good at is running away. I don’t open up! I’ll find a way to survive. I wouldn’t want to be on Earth anyways. Why didn’t you just let me die when we were captured by the Galra?” she asked before tilting her head. Not having to leave because she’s broken? What a laugh.

You don’t get it…” Sighing Shiro shook his head. “He deserves you because you’re the only one who stayed this far, the only one who genuinely cares. He’s been hurt before.. tricked more often than not. He’s finally found someone to be with.. to love and get that love returned. You’re his match.” 

Eyes narrow at her cursing Shiro crossed his arms. “If it’s not a lie then tell me.. what did he say before he passed out? You told me he ask for you not to hate him… If he didn’t love you why would he fear he would loose you? I don’t lie… I know him well and he loves you.” 

Frowning Pidge shook her head. She didn’t believe the other girl. Keith loved her. “He cares about you.. he’s never been more happy than he has with you.” The green paladin stated.  Walking up to the girl Shiro stood close.  “Then prove to me you’re okay… Tell me things will be alright.. You’re not thinking straight…but prove to me you’re okay.” Pausing a moment he sighed. “Do what you will to get better but know this.. if you leave. Don’t ever come back. If you plan to hurt him.. don’t bother. Just go.” 

Hanami frowned a bit before blinking. “I don’t deserve him. Who wants a mentally broken girl who can’t stand drinking and is afraid when people raise their voice?! Someone who was beaten and broken. Who can’t even fight back. Yeah that’s what I am.” she said before turning from him. 

“Everyone can fake being happy. I do it all the time. I’ve faked it for so long I don’t know what true happiness is.” she muttered before looking down. Hanami listened to them speak. “Fine. This broken and damaged girl is fine. I can think just fine on my own.”

Looking at them she felt tears fall. “Tell him I’m sorry. I’m too damaged for him. Tell him that I wish him the best and please please take care of Mika and Shiro.” She gave a fake smile before bowing and pushing pass both Shiro and Pidge. Walking she stumbled a bit before frowning to herself. She kept telling herself that Keith would find someone better than her for him.

You’re not calm… Hanami you’re anything but calm. I don’t want to hit you, we don’t hate you either. This is just a big mess… But it will pass, everything will be okay.” Standing by Pidge walked up to the girl. “Hanami… You’re Keith’s girlfriend… His friend. We can’t hate you for something that was an accident.” Nodding Shiro agreed. “You need to rest, you’re a mess and your state isn’t well.” 

“He deserves better than me. Honestly. I thought it was too good to be true. To find someone who loves me...” she looked at Shiro before frowning. “That’s the biggest fuckin lie ever. Maybe just maybe you’ll fuckin realize that.” Blue eyes turned to look at Pidge who walked up to her. “I don’t think he wants to be with me anymore.” she said softly before looking at Shiro. “Stop saying that! Stop saying I’m a mess and my state isn’t well!” she yelled at him before moving away from him.

Listening to her words Shiro shook his head. “You were scared for your sister… You were worried about her. You didn’t mean it.” Sighs. “Hanami, you need to rest. You look exhausted. Please just come to bed, Keith will be fine and you two can talk this over when he wakes.” Sighs at her question. “Because we all make mistakes. We say things we don’t mean. It happens, we’re only human.” Jolting at her words the man was startled. Gripping her shoulders he frowned. 

“Hanami. I’m not going to hurt you. You need to calm down, breathe.. come on breathe with me.” Taking a deep breath he prompted her to do the same. “Breathe Hanamai… Breathe. You’re not in a good mind state, you need to stay calm.” Hearing her scream Pidge wandered back in with a frown. “What’s going on…” Seeing Keith the girl clad in green frowned before putting two and two together. 

“Even then....I shouldn’t of blamed him. It wasn’t fair of me to do.” she muttered before shifting a bit. To say she looked like hell would be an understatement. Hair clung to her face and her eyes were red and swollen from crying. Her throat hurt and felt dry. “He won’t want to talk to me...I just know it.” she said before frowning.

Wincing a bit at his grip she stared up at him. “No. I am calm!” she struggled a bit against him and shook her head. “I won’t do it. Just hit me and be done with it! I know you want to!” she yelled before gripping her fist. “I bet all of you want to hit me. I got your teammate hurt to the point he almost died...twice! You must hate me.”
