Quest 21 - Cook
If someone else is mostly in charge of preparing the meals you eat, think about one small way you could help out. Make a plan to offer to help. Who would you talk to? When would you offer to help?
Quest 20 - Be a Green Thumb
If you have any plants check them and see if they need water. If you don't have plants think about whether you would like to have some.
Quest 19 - Look Up
Go outside and look at the sky
Quest 18 - Deodorant
If you haven’t already done so today, put on some deodorant.
Quest 17 - Morning Sun
If your sleep cycle is off, here’s another idea you might be interested in..
Go outside and get direct sun on your face as soon as possible in the morning.
Sunlight re-sets your biological clock every morning. It wakes you up and gets you ready to feel sleepy again at night time.
If you haven’t seen the sunlight yet today, go outside. Try to get about 30 minutes of light every morning.
Quest 16 - Breathe
Take 3 slow deep breaths. Make your exhale last longer than your inhale.
Quest 15 - You May Need the Sleep
If you are recovering from an episode of psychosis you may need more sleep than usual while your brain is recovering.
Many people need ten or twelve hours of sleep at first.
Get the amount of sleep you need to feel rested. As you heal, gently encourage yourself to do more activities without over-tiring yourself.
Quest 14 - Nourish
If you haven’t eaten in the last 4 hours, eat something.
Quest 13 - Depression is an illness
Remind yourself that depression is not your fault. It is not because you are weak, or a "loser". Remember, depression is an illness with symptoms like any other illness. It affects your feelings, thoughts, behaviours and your body. The good news is that many things can help. Research shows that using several approaches provides the best outcome. These include medication, therapy and self-management activities. The Coping Methods section of this app (Booster Buddy) lists some helpful self-management activities.
What's bothering you the most today?
Initiation & motivation
Oversleeping
Lack of sleep
Depression
Anxiety
Not Sure
Quest 12 - Donate
Choose one piece of clothing or one household item you don’t need any more and make a plan to donate it.
What will you donate? Where will you take it? When will you take it there?
Quest 11 - Create
Take a photo of something beautiful.
Quest 10 - Soothe
Put some lotion or cream on your hands or face.
If you haven’t showered today, grab a wet one (baby wipes) or a wet cloth and wipe your face
Quest 9 - Get Ready
If you go to school, spend a few minutes thinking of what you need to do for school.
What is the easiest task you have? What is the smallest, tiniest thing you can do?
Spend a few minutes getting started (Getting started is enough, but you can do more if you want.)
Quest 8 - Read
Think of one book you're interested in reading and write it down. If you don't have any ideas look online on goodreads.com Or search "good books to read"
