#p #obsession 2026 my beloved #I like so super do not need you to explain that Clark was actually a pretty unstable guy from the start #or that the backrooms are actually a manifestation of neural pathways/grief/trauma/what have you #I picked up on these things bc the movie makes it unbelievably obvious #I still just don't think it worked #i also have never found liminal spaces at all frightening so this movie was always going to have an uphill battle #at BEST unnerving but I think the Internet beat that horse into a fine pulp over the last ten years #did the weapons things and tipped its hand way too soon and now you have time to get used to the scary guy to the point that it's funny #I think the first time I saw a picture of like an abandoned mall I was like :o woah I've never considered this a feeling before......#and now it's like yeah I've been in empty hallways before. I've seen the airport pretty quiet in my life #which still could have worked if the rooms themselves felt sinister but my God the scary getter in this movie..........#there were so many ideas here that could have made this if not scary than at least stimulating for me but it's just not that good #technically impressive but story not at all there

I should be doing more to appreciate the lack of marvel movies in today's popular culture. I once yearned for marvel movies to have this level of irrelevance. They used to feel almost ozymandian, like an empire that had no beginning and no end. and now tony stark iron man is naught but two vast and trunkless legs of stone.

Made the mistake of buying a bag of spinach as a person who lives alone so now every single meal I eat for the next 2 weeks is gonna about this damn spinach. We are on 24/7 spinach lockdown. Last time this happened, I made 3 salads and a spinach curry and spinach pasta and STILL half the bag turned to green rot in the fridge. My conception of "what meals require spinach" is rapidly expanding into "what meals COULD conceivably include spinach." I am considering recipes never before seen outside the realms of vegan mommy blogs. By day 10 I anticipate I will probably just do a Land Before Time and take the rest of that shit raw
