hey i’m just wondering why this comment about prostitution from dean “i know all about absentee fathers” winchester. just wondering what parallel this is supposed to be drawing between dean and these women, especially in the middle of an arc where dean is meant by heaven to allow michael to enter & use his body. just wondering how i’m supposed to interpret this in light of the show’s running motif of lack of bodily autonomy & choice. anyway i’m sure this will be explained in depth in future episodes

Thinking abt Jimmy as salesman. Specifically ad space on AM radio. And the connection between angels and radio. Their form of communal collective consciousness "hive" communication is dubbed "angel radio." angels themselves are "wavelengths" like radiowaves. Jimmy sells ad space on AM radio, he sells a portion of airwaves to be filled by advertisements. The adspace is an empty vessel, dead air to be filled. He's a salesman and he knows his way around a sales pitch! And he ends up getting sold to by a radio-wave(length of celestial intent). He sells his fleshspace to be filled by a wavelength. He is that empty section of dead air, filled by a wavelength meant to carry out the Word Of God (and advert, in a way). Castiel inhabits Jimmy specifically to help watch over Dean and guide him and Sam to fulfill their Heaven Ordained Destiny. He changes course along the way, but his original intent was to use Jimmy as Mouthpiece for Heaven's Agenda. Jimmy is a salesman and he gets swindled. He gets swindled by an airwave. It's poetic really and I'm obsessed with it and always thinking abt it tbh.
