Train
I always visualise life as a train journey. A lifelong journey where you can hop on any train you like with endless possibilities. Either a fast train what gets you direct towards your desired destination or a train with several stations on the way where you discover places, taking and leaving your luggage on the way.
On your journey people will step aboard for the ride and alight where needed. You say hello and goodbye, ride in full or empty carriages. You maybe choose to get out yourself and take the next train or change the direction if you feel like it. Sometimes you can get delayed on the way or you have no other choice than to get off and catch another train. Sometimes you feel everybody is on the train and you are left on the platform. Sometimes everybody is on the platform and you are on the fast train travelling past everybody else towards a different station.
Each journey is a different story, one more smooth than another and various prices to pay for each destination. Journeys to be remembered others rather to be forgotten.
For me, it's time to take a train towards a new direction. An unknown station and not knowing what will happen on the way. New journeys always bring excitement, but this time I carry also sadness with me, as I will be travelling alone...
You and me have been standing on the platform for a while now, waiting and deciding which way to go, hoping for a train what suited both directions. This train doesn't exist and we can not stand here forever. Therefore it has been a hard decision to aboard a train with separate destinations. Our journey together, unfortunately, ends here. It's time to say goodbye. You were one hell of a travel buddy and will miss your great companionship. I do hope our trains pass each others stations now and then. Have a safe journey home my love...
