Joestars with An Overly Friendly Darling
Hey sorry about going ghost, mental health has been garbage but I hope to post a couple of posts maybe a few for Mermay. Haven't written for JJBA in a while so figure I would do this now. Parts 1-6 (haven't gotten to SBR). Btws darling is coded neurodivergent in some flavor.
How would the Joestars react to having a darling who is overly friendly. Someone who babbles on and claims to be friends on first meeting. Someone who is horribly persistent and very open. Due to the lack of social cues this may be your down fall.

Johnathan Joestar
He is ecstatic to say the least. Don't get me wrong he would love you even if you were colder than ice, but Johnathan loves you friendly demeanor. Meeting you helped Johnathan through some rough times with your warmth and bright smile. Never mind the fact you immediately trusted him and have issues with boundaries. Johnathan wouldn't change a thing about you.
Being an affectionate person at heart, Jojo would love if you reciprocated his affection. Be it kind words or physical affection, Johnathan is over the moon.
Delusional before considering your friendly nature, even worse afterwards (worse as a romantic yandere). You being friendly is a sign you and him were meant to be no? He'll be by your side as long as you'll have him (he won't leave).
Will let you rant about your interests with the softest expression on his face. Especially if you are also into geology which he will share his knowledge on with you. If he doesn't know anything about your interests, Johnathan will try to learn all he can about them in order to see you beam brightly at him.
Perfect gentleman opening doors, pushing in chairs, and defending your honor from anyone who tries to hurt/insult you (Dio). You will want for nothing as the Joestar family is loaded. All you need to do is keep being your sweet self.
As a platonic yandere, Johnathan considers you to be a great friend and a better sibling than Dio ever was. Invites you to the Joestar mansion any chance he has with shiny hopeful eyes. George himself sees you as another child to him as well, grateful that you have brought joy into his son's life.
As a romantic yandere Johnathan is completely smitten, believing you to be the perfect being. He will want to introduce you to his father (if he's still alive) and get your family's blessing to marry you. Wants to have a happy life by your side, with a possible child/children. More likely to kidnap as romantic yandere.
Regardless of if platonic or romantic, Johnathan grows paranoid. While he loves your open personality many others judge you for it. Johnathan is not blind to the uncomfortable faces and judgemental glares you receive. Not only this but his adoptive brother Dio will try and hurt you to get at him. Johnathan will watch over you like a giant shadow, gently herding you away from strangers and friends with a smile. You don't need anyone else now that you have him.
Joseph Joestar
Wow he really is that handsome isn't he? Jokes aside, Joseph thinks your a little weird wandering up to him out of nowhere. Your friendliness, while cute, gets annoying after you follow after him like some dog. Personal space is a thing for a reason you know! Tries every strategy he can to get away from you, including being overly rude on purpose. Yet you cling like a stubborn leech, babbling about something he doesn't care about.
Will warm up to you with a little time or a smack from Granny Erina (she thinks you're absolutely precious). It's not all bad since your compliments feed his huge ego, and you're not the worst to hang out with. So be grateful that Jojo is looking out for you!
Super affectionate in a playful way. Likes hooking an arm around your shoulder or waist with that shit eating grin on his face. Will give you noogies and use you as an arm rest as a platonic yandere. As a romantic yandere Joseph play flirts while pulling you to his side with one arm. Come here and give him a big smooch!
Takes advantage of your inability to read social cues and encourage you to do and say things that will further isolate you. Oh no! These awful people don't understand how cool you are. Don't worry Joseph won't ever take you for granted. Of course there are those who aren't pushed away so easily, nothing Joseph can't fix with some cunning and a few threats.
One of his worst traits is his "teasing", which honestly is just him picking on your insecurities and claiming it was all in good fun.
Will let you ramble on and on, so long as he's allowed to hold you while you do it. What?! He wasn't snoring! Alright fine he fell asleep only because your lap is so damn comfortable.
Embarrasses himself trying to impress you, much to the chagrin of Caesar. Whether its flexing to show off his muscles or a new trick with his clackers, this clown will end up hurting himself. Who cares if it was on purpose or not? After all you attention was what he was after.
As a platonic yandere, Joseph will view you as his younger sibling or/and his partner in crime. You could be older but he's taller and smarter therefore age is irrelevant (Joseph logic). Scares off potential suitors with the overprotective big brother routine. Come on he was just teasing, that guy/gal/person was clearly weak if a few "jokes" scared them off. Will let you have friends but only ones he approves of, so probably just Caesar (if he's alive). Overall not as bad as being the romantic yandere.
As a romantic yandere, you will not be keeping your freedom. Good luck trying to escape because Joseph is always five steps ahead. With a teasing look and a harsh grasp on your wrist you're taken back to his home. Once again takes advantage of your oblivious nature to gaslight and form a further dependence on him. He's not locking you in his house, you wanted to stay over. Come on babe you're so silly. If you grow wise to his tricks, Joseph's green eyes will grow cold. Best not to make him actually work to keep you.
Jotaro Kujo
Yeah no he hates this. To him you're as annoying as those bitches he goes to school with him. He tells you to shut up and that you annoy him. Yet you smile and nod like he just discussed the weather with you. Jotaro steadily gets more annoyed with you as you persist in your attempts to befriend him.
Good grief you just don't know when to quit do you? Approaching him whenever you see him with that dumb grin on your face. How desperate can you possibly be? Jotaro believes that you two will never be friends, until he returns from his trip to Cairo. He lost many good friends and almost lost his grandfather. He is a very different person now and has become even more withdrawn.
Something about seeing you continue to be by his side even with all he's seen and been through is...touching. You may be dumb, naive, and terrible and social interactions, but Jotaro desperately needs someone who cares in his life.
Jotaro does not outwardly express affection, seemingly adverse to PDA. However now that Jotaro has let you into his life he will tolerate your affection. If you hold his hand he barely flinches, but he draws the line at you hugging him in public. Ignore him covering his face with his hat. Even worse is Star Platinum seems to have taken a liking to your sunny disposition too. Expressing Jotaro's inner thoughts and feelings, which is to cling like crazy to his favorite person. You may feel an invisible pair of arms wrap around you tightly, Jotaro will call you crazy if you tell him while hiding his face behind his hat again.
Jotaro can't stand (hehe) others taking up your time and vice versa. You wanted to be friends with him so badly, why suddenly ditch him for nobodies. Will take advantage of his size and strength to intimidate others who try and steal you away. If threats don't work, Jotaro is not afraid to beat them into the pavement with Star Platinum. Good grief quit cryin' over that loser, he was a pervert anyway. If you try and approach others Jotaro will lift you by the collar of your uniform and drag you away. Stay away from them, they're bad news. Being so gullible you might only think Jotaro is looking out for you.
Loves listening to you talk about your interests in great detail. Would be over the moon if you were also interested in marine biology. If you're not Jotaro still listens patiently, your voice soothing his tortured soul. If you encourage Jotaro to talk about his interests, he'll refuse until he eventually relents. Be warned that this has now sealed your fate and he can't let you go.
Will randomly put his jacket on you as a subtle way of claiming you. You'll never feel cold with the sheer warmth of the large man still contained with the coat. Doesn't really matter if his obsession is platonic or romantic, he will put the coat on you. Just don't ask for the hat, you're asking for too much.
As a platonic yandere, you remind Jotaro of what he lost. Avdol, Iggy, and Kakyoin all show up in parts of you. An insidious turn could be Jotaro trying to mold you into Kakyoin 2.0, to bring back what he lost. Regardless of this, Jotaro becomes overprotective as hell. Paranoid that one of Dio's minions might seek revenge, Jotaro insists on protecting you in all ways. Holly absolutely loves you as she hasn't seen Jotaro smile like that in so long, please stay for dinner! Joseph will consider you like another grandkid since Jotaro talks about you a lot. In most cases you just get a new more obsessive family.
As a romantic yandere, Jotaro doesn't really reveal his intentions of courting you. He's a tsundere and doesn't like appearing weak in front of you. This doesn't mean you can go and date someone else. Jotaro will do many horrible things, and beating the person unrecognizable sounds perfect. Jotaro will be pushed by jealousy and paranoia to kidnap you. A little help from the Speedwagon Foundation and it's like you never existed. Holly once again loves you dearly as Jotaro's happiness means a lot to her. She can't wait for the wedding! Joseph gives his grandson pointers on how to tame his darling. Wholesome bonding experience. Any attempt at escape will be foiled by Star Platinum or end with broken legs. Best not to anger a man with nothing to lose.
Josuke Higashikata
Josuke is honestly kinda shy under such sudden positive attention. You're so nice! Doesn't have the heart to tell you that he's uncomfortable because you look so happy. You're not doing anything wrong by being overly nice. He'll let you tag along with Okuyasu and Koichi because he's worried about disappointing this friendly person he just met.
One of the quickest to grow found of you because he's a guy with a heart as big as his hair. Speaking of hair, you complimenting his pompadour is the quickest way to break down his walls. You really like it? Of course you do, it's awesome after all! Your gushing and praise really makes him feel warm inside. You should eat lunch with him and his friends!
Seeing you hanging out with him and his group just feels right. You get their jokes and always have something interesting to say. When you start hanging out with the others without him, he feels great envy. He's kinda starting to wish you'd hang out more with him.
Josuke is an affectionate young man and this is more prominent with you. PDA becomes common place because he thinks you're so frickin' cute. Doesn't matter if his interest is platonic or romantic, he's super clingy. His favorite thing to do is give you surprise hugs because it's so cute to catch you off guard. Give him affection and he'll giggle and smother you further, you're so sweet!
Delusional and willing to harm others that "bother" you. Hey he gets that you're friendly and he loves that, but some people don't deserve that kindness (Rohan). Due to having Crazy Diamond as a stand, Josuke has no problem beating up a person and healing them only to repeat the process again. Delusional enough not to hurt you, unless you break the delusion that your relationship is perfect.
You become a second trigger for him. If someone dare insult or make fun of your overly friendly demeanor, Josuke flips out. What did that asshole say?! Josuke finds it hard to keep his cool when it comes to you.
Most likely his friends won't see the red flags as Josuke has always worn his heart on his sleeve. The boy with the diamond heart may get a bit scary when angered, but they want their friend to be happy. Not to mention Morioh can be dangerous with the influx of stand users. So there's a high chance that the rest of the Duwang Gang might become platonic yanderes. They love the sunny disposition and seemingly endless energy you exude and wish to protect it.
Josuke sits near you with a giddy expression as you talk about your interests. Please tell him he wants to know more! Even if he's not personally interested, having your attention all on him feels incredible. Will bring up something you said before with a goofy expression, please praise him! Will make fun of others for not knowing what you like in as great detail as him.
You are the only one allowed to touch his hair besides himself. Consider it a great honor as Josuke is very particular with how he styles and cares for it. The catch is you can't mess up his hairdo in public, he has a reputation to keep after all! In private, putty in your hands if you scratch his scalp. You really are his one weakness.
As a platonic yandere, you remind Josuke of what he wants to protect. Morioh is his home and he will never let a stand user like Kira harm any innocents again. As one of his closest friends, no his best friend (sorry Okuyasu), Josuke thrives on your attention and will preen under your praise. Oh you think he's that cool? Shucks you make him blush (don't stop). Will find any excuse to hang out with you outside of school. Doing chores? He's tagging along. Going home? Come over a play video games with him instead! Hanging out with other friends? Why not him, you don't want to hurt his feelings. Tomoko is grateful that Josuke finally has a decent non delinquent friend, and will encourage to two of you to hang out more.
As a romantic yandere, Josuke is hopelessly in love with you. You just are so amazing and he can't stop gushing about you. Calls and texts you every second you're apart and will freak out if you respond a minute late. You've woken up from a nap to Josuke frantically breaking into your house to check on you. Wants to do sappy cute stuff with you like have matching jewelry, so the world knows you're together. Don't be fooled though, Josuke is all sweetness and light till someone tries to steal your attention. That's when you see a side of Josuke that you wish you didn't. Even worse, he doesn't know what he did wrong as he sees his actions as justified.
Giorno Giovanna
As a person who has seen the worst of humanity, Giorno is skeptical about your true intentions. No one smiles so freely, talks so carelessly, at least not without a motive. If it's before Giorno is don, he's confused, what could you possibly gain by speaking to him so boldly. If it's after he became don, Giorno is even more wary of your attempts at friendship.
While Giorno is uncertain of if you pose a threat, he treats you with respect. Will search for intel on who you might be and if you were a member of a mafia that opposed Passione. When he finds nothing he lowers his guard slightly, allowing you to grow closer. After all if you truly are an enemy Giorno wants to bide his time before he strikes. In this time you endeared yourself to the blonde. It was refreshing to meet someone who gave affection so freely, wanting nothing in return. Giorno begins to crave it.
Giorno is severely emotionally stunted due to his abusive upbringing, so it will take a while for the golden boy to adjust. Just like his father, Giorno is naturally charming and relies on this charm to get what he wants. He will open doors for you and use terms of endearment that make you melt (both platonic/romantic). In private, Giorno grows more desperate for the affection he was deprived of. He holds onto you like you will slip through his hands, ready to do what it takes to keep you near.
Manipulative and calculating, Giorno keeps his two worlds separate. To you, he's your beloved GioGio, the kind golden haired man who wouldn't hurt a fly. However, Giorno is still a member/don of Passione, someone who has blood on his hands. Being a man of many masks, it is highly unlikely you will ever find out that he is in the mafia.
Giorno wants you to continue to just as friendly and lovable with others. However, each time you smile at another an ugly knot forms in his chest. Using all resources in his possession, Giorno monitors every person you talk to while running background checks. If they have even a minor criminal background, you're never seeing that person again. He won't let this cruel world taint you. A few well placed threats and bribes should keep trouble makers away. If it doesn't, Giorno hates to repeat himself.
Giorno is one of the most likely to kill and think nothing of it. Of course he'll hesitate to kill civilians but his mind finds a way to justify it. They would only hurt you eventually so why not nip the problem in the bud. Sends Mista and others to do his dirty work as don but he usually does it himself.
Loves making things with GE/GER for you. Never gets enough of how your eyes light up at the beautiful bouquet of flowers he presents you with. If you wanted a pet just say the word and Giorno will create one just for you. However, he also uses Golden Experience to animate items that you own to follow you so he knows you're safe.
GER is obsessed as well, often acting on its own accord to preserve your happiness. Threats receive the Diavolo special, which is honestly worse than death.
Giorno is a good listener so he doesn't mind listening to you ramble about your interests. Difference between him and most of the Joestars is that he actually absorbs the information you give him for later. Asks questions just to hear you talk more, your voice is so soothing after a long day.
As a platonic yandere, you give Giorno hope. Not just for the future of Italy but his own life finally being right. If this is pre don Giorno you encourage him to never give up on his dreams and he's forever grateful. If this is post don Giorno, he lost many friends on his journey to rid Italy of drugs. You're effortless positivity and friendly nature are a guiding light in all this darkness. Will have Mista and Fugo look over you (if the other gang members are alive they take shifts) watch over you. Italy is dangerous and Giorno doesn't want his beloved friend to be in danger. May kidnap you just to make sure nothing bad happens to you. Still you'll be spoiled rotten with gifts so it's not entirely bad.
As a romantic yandere, Giorno sweeps you off your feet into a fairy tale romance. Surprise bouquets of your favorite flowers, a hand on the waist, and fond smiles followed by chaste kisses to the hands, cheeks, and forehead. He's a charming and suave gentleman who cares deeply for your well being. If you think you're smothered with gifts when its just platonic, you're buried in them now. Giorno's childhood left him with the impression that the only way to keep someone you love in through providing constant luxuries. While Giorno might let you keep your independence as a friend, as his lover kiss your freedom goodbye. Giorno will steal you away to a luxurious villa on a private island under heavy security. Your ability to escape will be next to zero, but you will have all the love and attention from this blonde Adonis.
Joylne Cujoh
Depending on when you meet Jolyne her reaction will vary. If it's before she went to prison she'll be more receptive to your friendliness. It's super cute how approachable you are. If it's while in prison, Jolyne will be a bit wary of your intentions. Green Dolphin Street taught her that kindness comes with a price, so it's reasonable to assume that you're up to something. Therefore Jolyne treats you coldly but with respect, unless she believes you're making fun of her then she'll yell at you to leave her the hell alone.
If you keep approaching her she will grow more accustomed to your presence. Clearly you think she is a safe person to be around so why should she stop you. Not to mention it's kinda cute how you tail her like a puppy. Jolyne will get teased by Ermes and Foo Fighters about your behavior, to which she rolls her eyes. She's not in charge of your actions so quit it! However, Jolyne squeals deep down at how happy she is to have meet someone so nice, it makes her feel like her old self again.
Jolyne is an affectionate girl with those she likes, and with you its ten times worse. The definition of clingy when you two are together. Loves smooching your cheeks and letting her lipstick stain your face. Will embrace you whenever she can. Has no shame too and will ask you to shower with her regardless of your relationship to her. This also means if she likes you romantically very little is stopping her from making out with you in front of everyone. Everyone knows you two are together (platonically or romantically) and not to mess with you.
Time to talk about the Anasui problem, Jolyne doesn't trust him around you. She knows about his obsession with her and refuses to let that hurt you in any way. Anasui is jealous regardless of if her obession is romantic or just platonic, therefore Jolyne will have to put him in his place. She will threaten to kill him if he so much as looks at you the wrong way. Anasui will seethe internally while plotting a way to get rid of you and blame it on someone else. Anasui might also end up developing an obsession as he watches you so carefully, so watch out.
Doesn't have to worry about others taking you away as she knows you trust her. Using this to her advantage Jolyne will warn you about everyone you're interested in talking to. Oh that girl is a big time user and will sell you out for drugs. That guy is a massive pervert and will try and do unsavory things to you. Since you trust her you will stick to her side without asking questions. As for those who try approaching you, they'll be buried under the jail cell if
Not a single prisoner will have the chance to hurt you as she and her friends will be with you at all times. Ermes and Foo begin to care about you and might also be obsessed. Regardless many more bodies will be found in prison if the women are foolish enough to attack you (men as well).
Jolyne will use bribes to get Gwess to switch cells with you. What a coincidence she happened to live in the same cell you've been moved to. What fun! She'll demand a sleep over every other night where you two chat about many different things. She'll give you all the latest gossip all to see you giggle.
If you talk about your interests she will do her damnedest to make sure you can do something related to it in prison. She knows how to smuggle things into the prison, so ask and it shall be yours. In the meantime she'll listen with awe in her eyes as you babble about your interests. Your overflowing passion makes her so happy as it's good to feel joy in a place as desolate as prison.
As a platonic yandere, Jolyne is like an overprotective older sister. She doesn't care if you committed a heinous crime, you're still in need of her protection. Anytime she is able to she sticks to you like glue, other times she bribes and threatens her way back to you. Being abandoned by her father left emotional scars that haven't quite healed. However, she feels her heart healing knowing that she finally has another family member besides her mother. She won't let a certain priest drag you a way before she is able to reunite her little family.
As a romantic yandere, Jolyne has hope for her future. Her first relationship was a disaster so second times the charm (no it is not). She becomes a mix of the confident badass she is now and vulnerable girl she was before prison. Spitting vitriol and racking up bodies but still needing reassurance that you love her and will never leave her. She is super needy and horny on main so she'll be attempting to jump your bones everywhere. She can't help it when you make her so happy. Even while being sweet and attentive she has her moment of paranoia. She'll curse and scream at you if she thinks you're trying to leave her for someone else. A little affection or distraction by seduction will work wonders as she melts into your arms once more.
