it's almost summer do you guys want my stupid hyperoptimized lemonade recipe that takes half a day to make and whips absolute ass
Fruited Lemonade That Makes You Reconsider It All
ingredience:
lemons/limes (this needs to make up the bulk of the fruit being used, like at least 80%)
whatever other fruits or fruit scraps you want, plus any herbs/other flavorings you want to try. by fruit scraps I mean things like cherry pits, apple peels, pineapple cores, strawberry ends, things like that.
granulated white sugar, the coarser the better, 50% by weight of total citrus rinds + 100% by weight of any additional fruit. you'll measure this after you prep the fruit.
water as needed
equipment:
a few nonmetallic mixing bowls
a mesh strainer
a chinoise, ricer or some cheesecloth
a kitchen scale
a citrus juicer or reamer (manual or electric)
a potato masher
juice the citrus through a strainer - saving all rinds - and refrigerate the juice for the time being. dice the rinds and other fruits if any, keeping the rinds separate. make note of weights, and measure your sugar.
Place sugar in a large nonmetallic bowl. If using non-citrus fruits and/or any other flavorings, mix them in with the sugar and mash with potato masher. add diced citrus rinds, mix thoroughly, and mash again. cover and let stand at room temperature for at least 4 hours. this allows the sugar to draw out flavors that would otherwise get discarded with the rinds, and the rinds' acids should be enough to dissolve the sugar into a syrup.
Afterward, mash one last time, then collect the syrup by pressing the macerated mixture through a strainer/chinoise or ricer, or squeeze it through cheesecloth. if you want, this can be saved as a standalone syrup at this point, for use in cocktails or desserts. if not, slowly pour the reserved juice through the solids to to help get the remaining syrup out, and squeeze/press again. do the same thing one more time with warm water (roughly the same amount of water as juice). discard solids (or try making sangria with them!).
taste the mixture and add more water if necessary. a stronger mix is totally fine if you anticipate serving over ice on a hot day, or adding booze, or if there was a lot of non-sour fruit. keep in mind that it will taste a bit less sweet once it's chilled. pour into a pitcher and refrigerate.
citrus oils will float to the top, so stir/shake before serving. love you. enjoy.
some tried and true flavor combos:
straight lemon or lime, or any combination of the two, is of course an untouchable classic
lemon & strawberries (that's pussy babe!)
lemon & orange with a hint of vanilla (creamsiclemonade...?)
lemon & apples or apple peels with cinnamon/ginger/allspice (for late summer)
some cocktail type combos, booze optional:
lemon or lime & berries with basil + gin
lime & mint + white rum
lime & ginger + dark rum
lime & cucumber + gin
lime & orange (berries optional) + tequila
lemon, orange & cherry + brandy, bourbon, or rye whiskey
holy gods

Hi guys! I thought I should just share my whole mini little library of Project Hail Mary-related things so they're all in one place:
It includes:
A telesync of the movie
My transcript of the movie (more on that here)
Audio recordings of the movie
A PDF of the book
The full audiobook
A copy of Andy Weir's doc on Eridians
A draft of the screenplay for the film from 2022
An audio recording of the director's commentary
The audiobook, audio recordings, and commentary all have their properties programmed so they (should) work just like songs with a track number, album cover, artist, and so on if you download them.
There are two audios of the movie, one is the entire film untouched and one is that same audio cut up and broken down into separate scenes for convenience.
Additionally, there are two versions of the transcript, one with time stamps that match the audio and one without. The time stamps (+ their titles from the audio) are outlined in that version, so if you double-click on that tab or click "show outline," they'll all show up and you can pick a specific scene.
The first few seconds of the commentary are missing unfortunately as my US friend who was kind enough to record it for me had some technical difficulties at the start, but the commentary starts around the shot of the robot arms right before the shot of "good luck!" written on Grace's sleeping bag. It's also about 40-45-ish seconds behind the audio recording if you can only listen.
There's also a google doc with some instructions to follow if any of the files aren't working, which usually happens when too many people try to access or download something at the same time.
As always, if anything's not working right, you notice any mistakes in the transcript, or any of the audios are cut wrong, please let me know and I'll fix it as soon as I can!
Some tips on anime-style Miis without facepaint
I think visually the instructions are easy to follow: You use one of the dot eyes, then use the top eyelid as the eyelash, the bottom eyelid as a double eyelid, the top eyelash as an extension to the top lash, and the bottom lashes as a lower eyelid. You use the eyeshadow as the "white" of the eye. You can optionally use a mole as a nose.
I tried it on a character I was struggling to make, and holy shit! Holy shit!!!
Your mileage may vary, for example I've closed the game so I can't see how it looks on darker skinned Miis, but it works really well IMO. Hope it helps!
do you read jason’s comics? did you discover jason or prime first?
I read Jason's comics! I discovered Prime first, because I went from seeing the 2025 Superman movie to reading World's Finest Batman/Superman (2022) to reading Superman (2023).
That's how I found out about Prime. I really, really liked him, so I learned more about him, and found out he resurrected Jason. I then got really into Jason... more so than I did with Prime, at least for about two or three months. Sorry, Prime!! I'm back to where I started!!
If you want to know what comics for Jason I've read, I've read all of his Post-Crisis Robin comics (I can say this now, I read The Cult in the past few weeks! The Cult is amazing, by the way), UTRH, Lost Days, TT03 #29, Countdown, and some of Batman and Robin (2011). In Rebirth, I've read Task Force Z (Good!), Robin and Batman: Jason Todd (Bad!) and Cheers (Not the greatest but had nice art!) I also read some of Gotham War, and it wasn't good, though I think Matthew Rosenberg has a grasp over Jason that I like. I also read his story in the Robin 80th anniversary, and it made me emotional...
I tried to read Brothers in Blood, but I got bored (or, more like confused? I didn't finish it.) Sorry. I didn't finish Batman and Robin 2011 either because Jason's writing felt like getting stabbed multiple times in the stomach. I like his design in that one, though (when he kept the helmet on). I want to try Outsiders at some point, but I'm lazy.
Oh, and of course, I read his Knightfight issue (Good!) and his DC KO issue versus Joker (Also good!). I'm very excited for how they treat him in Teen Titans, the artist draws him his age and the writer describes him as a protector... it gives me a ton of hope!
So, don't worry! I know it seems like sometimes I'm all about Prime, and Jason's just his buddy, but I really like Jason too. I think they'd be good for each other, not just one or the other.
SUPERBOY-PRIME READING LIST
You wanna get into Superman's most insane variant and his crazy misadventures? This is the list for you! Clark Kent of Earth Prime was a si
i saw that people on here are interested on superboy-prime but don't know where to start! i got you!
did i make this list? NOPE! however, this is the most complete reading list he's got, and it's great! he's only got around 60 issues to get through before march, which isn't too many if you think about it.
warning that they're mostly huge events, so it can be a little confusing at times. don't worry too much about it! if you're reading these just for prime, you can simply focus on him and get his character that way. his motivations are never so complex that you need to know what's happening 24/7.
also, this list is in RELEASE ORDER. not a huge deal, but i included my own reading list, in which i put them in chronological order and cut some of the extraneous fat (and also included a lot of yapping)
THERE! everyone read superboy-prime's comics! he's the best.
hey, canadians
the government is running a survey from march 6th 2026 to april 20th 2026 on the impact of modern vehicle headlights. specifically they want to know if you are affected by things such as the glare, angle, intensity, and colour of the modern LED headlights. you do not have to be a driver to take this survey. please consider filling out this quick (~15 minutes or less) survey.
Transport Canada wants to learn how headlight glare affects road users and what vehicle or lighting features may influence how people experi
Hi guys

An Art Competition
That's right, My OCS, anything goes (mind the rules), chance to win one hundred dollars
And if you're still not convinced
More info below!!
love your art so much since i saw it on tiktok! you draw characters with like... really good weight? idk if that makes sense, but your shape language really lends itself well! tim looks like a very healthy young vigilante :]
wanted to ask, who are your art inspirations + favorite comic artists? love your works! thank you for sharing them :]
AWWWW THANK U!!!! I'm glad my artstyle can be described as "weighty" and "good shape language." It seems I'm on the right way...
Here are a couple of artists I've been following for several years, who inspire me and who have influenced me the most: 1. meatsema 2. maeters 3. paexie 4. roamingthrough (18+!!!)
As for favorite comic artists… I don't really follow artists related to comics, BUT THERE IS ONE EXCEPTION Greg Smallwood!!!
I adore his work both in and out of comics, the style, color, textures are just incredible…why is he so cool…I'll never be as cool as him…etc, etc, he really inspires me. For my birthday last year, a friend gave me Moon Knight by him. Awww, thank for her very much. I also dream of Human Target, but its not easy just buy those comics here I also like Dan Mora i think 🤔 I love how appealing and consistent his style is. He always draws characters' faces and anatomy beautifully, this is very inspiring. My skill at drawing the same character fluctuates constantly, from "incredibly good" to "this bastard doesn't look like himself I'll have to redraw him 10 more times." Sooo xD Honestly, I only learned about Dan Mora because he's popular with DC fans… I love the style of the Superboy from 90s comics, but the covers always credit multiple artists, and I haven't studied this question enough so I'm not sure who's most responsible for those iconic frames. I really enjoy retro comics in general.

Adobe Animate 2022 (v22.0.8.217) - Windows
1. Download from Google Drive (don’t hesitate to let me know if the link no longer works!) 2. When done downloading, unzip it somewhere you can find it back (Windows can do it for you, but otherwise, I personally use a program called Winrar or you can try 7ZIP). 3. Open the unzipped folder and double click the file called ‘Set-up.exe’ and let the installation run. 4. When the installation hits 100%, close it and everything should be functional. As it’s pre-cracked, there’s no additional steps to take!
Have fun, enjoy and please consider reblogging the post if it helped you! And if you’d like to show support, consider leaving me a tip on Kofi!
As someone who's been trying to get into the Batman comics, do you have a recommendation of what to start with?
you can with start with anything that looks interesting to you going off the cover and title alone
Batman comics are (mostly) episodic but change with time and vary WILDLY in tone, so a "good" place to start only depends on what kinds of stories you like and which characters you're interested in
since I like Batman & the Joker most of my recommendations will include them in some way:
if you're interested in lighter and sillier stories and don't mind some outdated writing Batman #1 is a VERY fun place to start, these stories also include Robin more consistently if you're interested in Bruce as a character and don't mind some pretty messed up horror the New 52 explores his character with a lot of depth if you want to learn more about Batman's main villains, the Batman Confidential comics have a few different stories focusing on some of the most iconic ones, it will give you a good sense of what their personalities and core traits are like, as well as their relationships with batman if you want iconic, self contained, stories and GORGEOUS art, many books by artist Tim Sale and writer Jeph Loeb are fantastic, I also recommend the Superman stories they've done together if you'd like to see Batman as part of an "odd couple" pairing, the Worlds Finest comics are a lot of fun, these pair him up with Superman and their personalities bounce off each other very well, this series also has a modern version currently in print apart from that, Batman comics tend to have these things called "runs" which are teams of artists who work together on a certain number of issues, I already mentioned two of them, but most of my favorites were done in the 70's & 80's like the Moench/Jones run and the Grant/Breyfogle run, and again, you can pretty much start these anywhere you want
also, as if you didn't have enough to choose from, here are a few of my random faves:
Batman: Kings Of Fear
Sleighride by Paul dini
Batman: Dark Prince Charming
Batman: Last Knight On Earth
Batman #608 (Anarky's Debut)
Batman Adventures
Batman: Year 100
Harley Quinn: RWB #14,
Batman /superman #52 ect. ect. ect.
to cap this off though, I would stay away from things like The Killing Joke or The Dark Knight Returns until you read other things more suited to your tastes, they'll certainty be pushed on you and are iconic for specific reasons but aren't necessarily the best Batman has to offer (IN MY OPINION)

since an anon requested nbc hannibal for free on google drive:
season one / season two / season three
Let's build Jason a bookshelf !
Pride and Prejudice - homeboy is an Austen fan canonically, we need at least this one.
Hamlet -do I need to say more? Do I?
Water for the elephants: He won't admit it, but the book reminds him of Dick, and he reads it any time he misses him. It's angsty enough to maintain a front while actually being a romance with a satisfying ending.
The Outsiders: It's not just that the story is relatable and really well written; it's the themes of loyalty, grief and heroism, and the imagery and hopefulness shining through, and it's the way Johnny reminds him of Roy and sometimes, after Roy's death, he will close his eyes and picture the two of them together in an abandoned church, in that quiet space safe from the war raging outside, reading Gone With the Wind while Roy provides uncharitable commentary about the characters' decisions.
Under The Whispering Door (TJ Klune): This one was gifted to him by Tim because "the main character is an asshole ghost, I thought you might relate." Of course, these idiots could talk to eachother about emotions and go to therapy, but why do that when you can bait your brother into reading a story that will help him process a bit of his relationship with his own death and the family? The worst part is, it worked great, and Jason is so upset that it became one of his favourite books. (The part about the stages of grief is scientifically inaccurate, though. He would know.)
A compilation of TS Eliot's works: Maybe it's because I'm a big fan of TS Eliot and Jason, but every time I reread one of his poems, I think about Jason and I'm sad. The Hollow Men, in particular about the fallen soldiers from WWI, hits so hard as a Jason poem, especially when you consider he lived through the explosion but died of smoke inhalation.
Flowers for Algernon: After losing Bizarro, Jason rereads it often, sitting on rooftops, every time the sky is bright enough to see the stars. He reads it out loud, and the words burn his tongue and taste bitter every time every time, but he likes to pretend his friend is listening, and feels a little less alone.
The Oresteia: This one belongs to the list Jason has read many times and should probably read less, because he projects the tragedy onto his real life and it's a bad influence that comforts him in the idea that he was doomed from the start. Good luck trying to pry it out of his hands though! He also loves the idea of being seen at his worst, in the midst of all his hopelessness, and being loved anyway, cradled with unwavering devotion.
Frankenstein : He's a huge Mary Shelley fan, both as a person and a writer. As for Hamlet and the Oresteia, he definitely projects maybe a little too much of some of the characters, but hey, not everybody can brag that they relate to the Creature on such a visceral level.
What else would you guys add?
