HI EVERYONE ✨ hope you all are having an amazing day/night x)) I really wanted to work on something for Pride Month but had to finish this first and also got another job, having two jobs leaves you barely any time to do anything at all lmao “:)) I might still work on something for pride month bc I had a pretty wholesome idea and I don’t want it to just sit there. Unused. In my brain.
Anyway, this is a little fun idea I had. Jimriel but ?? Dark ?? I guess ?? What if Ariel was a siren instead of a mermaid ?? What if Jim became a pirate instead of joining the navy ??
The story in my head that inspired this drawing went kind of like this: Ariel is a siren. She still has a deep fascination for the human world and humans in general but will not hesitate to drown a sailor or two if necessary. So while she’s not a cold blooded killer she’s still a siren that does what she has to when she needs to. Ofc her love for human culture is also a secret to the rest of her people in this story too. For the drama.
Jim on the other hand is still a space sailor that’s for some reason stranded on Earth. Maybe he was already a pirate before he ended up in a different planet or he became one while on Earth (I couldn’t decide). He’s part of a crew that (as any other pirate crew) makes money in questionable ways. Like capturing and selling strange creatures to the highest bidder, for instance. Mermaids and sirens are their specialty bc- plot, you know ?? So for obvious reasons he can NOT let his crew know that he’s from a different planet. Thankfully he can blend in with the rest of the people thanks to his human appearance and has to keep his knowledge of “alien” tech under wraps and get familiar with the primitive artifacts and technology of Earth. Which he finds hard and annoying at first.
These two eventually find each other. I’m thinking maybe his crew tries to capture Ariel or she tries to drown Jim. Because this would ABSOLUTELY be an enemies to lovers type of situation.
