it seemed very belittling and patronizing. it’s easy to say “don’t put labels on sexualities” when you are a straight cis woman who doesn’t face the prejudice that the people she claims “shouldn’t label themselves" feel. we put labels on things because we need to for representation lmao i get that some people don’t want to label themselves—and that’s their choice—but most lgbtq+ people have to label their sexuality to literally feel validated because we live in such a heteronormative world.

claiming “love is love is love” and then, in the same breath, saying don’t label things—when the question wasn’t even about sexuality; it was literally about an unreleased kiss and her thoughts on bechloe post pp3—completely contradicts each other and undermines an entire community. i don’t think she understands just how much bechloe actually means to some fans and she's trying to show she's a Good Ally by pandering.

and don’t get me started on the “it’s not about winning the prize of ‘we were right and you were wrong’ in terms of their sexual representation” lmao acting like we view it as some sort of competition when in reality, we just want to feel validated by someone who has authority on the franchise.
