Star Wars Fun Fact #12345678910: among the many movies, shows, books, comics, games, toys, etc., the franchise has had its fair share of unbelievably fucking stupid characters, notable examples being:
-Luke Skywalker's edgy drug addict great grandson Cade who was constantly fucking and doing drugs so the ghosts of Skywalkers past would stop telling him to get a haircut and a real job
-Trioculus the mutant with a third eye in his forehead who claimed to be Palpatine's son so he could take over the Empire but then got killed by a droid replica of Princess Leia optic blasting him
-Triclops the mutant with a third eye in the back of his head who also claimed to be Palpatine's son but wasn't evil and had a prison baby with a former Jedi
-Thracken Sal-Solo, Han Solo's neonazi cousin that got triple assassinated by Han, Boba Fett and Boba Fett's granddaughter who pretty much all took turns shooting him to death
-Darth Plagueis
But the single stupidest character I've ever seen in Star Wars has to be Irek Ismaren, A.K.A "Lord Nyax". Irek was the son of one of Palpatine's secret "evil charlie's angels" assassin-concubines who got lobotomized in a lightsaber fight after being robocop-ified, adopted the name Lord Nyax after a fictional sith boogeyman, and when on a killing spree before almost immediately getting his shit rocked by a bunch of Jedi. The robocop-ification made him 10ft tall and lightsabers were built into his forearms, wrists, elbows and knees. And he looked like this:
The single stupidest character in Star Wars history.

Are Humans Self-Aware?
Ants have often tested humans for self awareness. They placed objects in our homes and were shocked we didn't cover them in sand.
"Although humans build interesting nests & show signs of cooperation, can they really have rich inner lives like ants? Unlikely."
They laid pheromone trails & we ignored them.
"Even a newly eclosed callow or a termite could have followed these trails! Human intelligence is perhaps similar to that of a lichen... or perhaps an aphid at best."
"Is higher reasoning or self awareness really possible in a creature without the ability to express herself using pheromones? A creature without antennae?"
"Humans do seem to have smell receptors. They respond to some pheromones."
"But aren't those responses simple stimulus response? Spray a human with formic acid and she will squeal. But we can hardly call this evidence of thought or a theory of mind!"
"Humans may communicate with sounds."
"Stridulations?"
"Simple ones. Yes."
I just remembered there was a science fiction novel, I can't remember the title, about tiny little people who lived in our houses and used all our things, but it wasn't the littles or the borrowers.
In this one they just moved so fast they were invisible to us, and from their perspective, we moved so slowly they never even pieced together the fact that we were the ones building their homes and supplies. They would live and die seeing us in the middle of only a single action after all; for them it would have taken eons of record keeping and corroboration over countless generations to learn what we were even doing, so they thought of us as brainless things who might just arbitrarily tangle our limbs around stuff sometimes.
You'd think they wouldn't process us making any sounds but I distinctly recall they could hear our speech as occasional "mooing"
that sounds like terry pratchett's nome trilogy, which starts with "truckers"; it's some of his earlier stuff, and still a very fun read!
the existence of post malone points to the existence of pre malone, and of course malone alone
much to consider...
man dandadan is good huh lmao
TRICK OR TREAT
I made the outlined illustration of this doodle October 2023, after several reattempts to color it here is my finished all hallows eve contribution to the ether.
I wanted to incorporate my favorite spooky lore, myth, and cult classic film specials that make me feel like it’s really autumn.
Can you spot any reference or hidden treats?✨🦇🎃👻✨
Hope the rest of the day is spooky for y’all.

This is the highest compliment I can bestow, but Dungeon Meshi reads like it was written for, if not by, Terry Pratchett.
Oh, you have a dungeon with monsters and adventurers? How does it work? Who pays? How do you get enough supplies? People will eat anything when hungry; do they eat the monsters? People will cook feasts from rotten meat and weeds; what feasts can you make with monsters?
By the way, here is a terrible pun about soup.
You want heroes to have peril, but also to live? Easy! Just have a ressurection spell. Well how does it work? What's the point? What would people give to live forever? What would people give to die?
Here's a dwarf whose magical shield is a wok.
And if they come back, it still hurts right? Do people remember? What happens if they forget that, outside of the dungeon, they can't come back? What if the thing that brings them back also ties them to the dungeon more and more, changes them, makes them different without knowing why.
Whilst you were thinking about that, the halfling founded an adventurers guild. It's an actual union with dues etc. btw he's a deadbeat dad apart from this.
The dwarf from earlier carries familial trauma that will haunt you for the next decade. The protagonist holds his sister's skull as the first proof that there is anything left of her. The two female leads share a love so deep that giving it a name would pollute it. The protagonist's sword is a mollusc.
