Did you read the chapter? If you didn't, don't keep reading this question. SPOILER: Seungbae says that Sangwoo was originally condemned to death penalty and then to jail for life, but... Actually South Korea is one of those countries that retains the death penalty only in law and hasn’t actually executed for 10 years... that means Sangwoo wouldn't have been executed in any way... so what's this?
I’ve read it don’t worry :)I’m not an expert, especially in Korean law, but it’s also true that KS is not 100% accurate ( Koogi defied the law of physics in chapter 65 and it’s not the firts time). According wikipedia though ( I know I should find more reliable source) as of 2017 there are 300 people under a death sentence, so I guess people can still be sentenced to death but executions don’t take place.
The death sentence was probably meted out by the trial court. Any verdict with capital punishment is usually automatically reviewed by the higher courts so it was probably there were the sentence was lowered.
What is inaccurate is how fast the justice system is lol. Bum and Sangwoo haven’t even gotten out of the hospital yet. Their testimonies should be necessary to try the case.
