This post is about Halloween, cultural appropriation and hypocrisy. It’s meant to be food for thought for any SJWs out there.

I get why it would be offensive for someone to reduce your rich culture and history to a stereotypical Halloween costume. I wouldn’t like it if someone played dress up with my culture either so I can completely empathise with you on this matter.

I also know that Halloween is a bastardised version Samhain. Samhain is not about playing dress ups and collecting candy. Samhain marks the end of the harvest and a time for storing away supplies for the winter. It is also the time when the divide between this world and the next is said to be at it’s thinnest, so it is a time to honour our deceased ancestors. This can be done by setting a place for them at the table, lighting fires and candles so that the light can guide them home, and visiting their graves. If you do not observe any of these practises and only see Halloween as one big costume party, then you my friend, are guilty of culturally appropriating the pagan festival of Samhain. And if you’re doing this while simultaneously complaining about someone else’s culturally insensitive costume, then you are also a hypocrite. 😊

Have you ever considered how offensive/insensitive it might be of you to dress up like a stereotypical ghost when some people really do believe that they are communing with their ancestors on this night?

Have you ever considered how privileged you are to get away with pretending to be a witch on this one night when some of us have to hide this fact on a daily basis for fear of ridicule and discrimination?

So, basically, if you’re celebrating Halloween but not Samhain, then you’re culturally appropriating. I can live with that, but not with the added hypocrisy on top.

Why do feminists still support gay men?

Like, there is a reason they don’t want to have sex with womyn; it’s because they’re misogynistic. They says its because they aren’t attracted to womyn but why are they having anal with other men when they could easily do that with a womyn?

Also, it’s a recorded fact that everyone: I mean everyone, had some form of attraction to womyn. Even if that is not sexual (asexual for example), there is still attraction.
