Angst warning!
Ilya Rozanov has a nightmare genre thats very very simple. It's nothing attacking him or killing him.
He feels young, sometimes a full decade younger. He's looking into some boring, dim-lit hotel room back at the bed, an equally younger Shane on the bed at least shirtless. Every time he's crying, between simple tears in his eyes that shine bright enough for Ilya to see from the other end of the room or his eyes streaming tears, nose dribbling snot and face almost purple with sobs. And Ilya's terrified but he never does anything but say something along the lines of, "bye Hollander" and walk out the stupid door.
Other times he's in the bed, rumbled comforter and watching Shane walk out. Ilya realizes the face is always the same terrified but somehow angry face Shane had when he said he, "can't do this anymore." And raced out of Ilyas house just to end up with Rose a week later. Ilya can never breathe properly while it happens, he's always trying to manually breathe and beg Shane to come back. It never works, and once Shane is gone he wants to jump out of bed but all he can do is look around. He does, and thinks to look at the nightstand, his hand or his necklace for his ring only to find nothing. The realization wakes him up every time.
