I know last year was crazy, but how did I miss this? Egypt built a new, more modern museum to help hold their expanding collection of antiquities. They had to move 22 mummified pharaohs and queens to their new home. Moving the fragile mummies in their special nitrogen-filled cases was a logistical nightmare. Moving so many high-profile terrorist targets in the Middle East was a security nightmare.

So what did they do? They glammed it to the heavens! They slathered a thick layer of classy pomp and circumstance over all those logistical and security needs and put on a spectacle that has to be seen to be believed.

I’m told that the morning after the parade, the music composer and many members of the crew got calls from the MCU and invitations to work on Moon Knight.

It’s funny. I assume terrorists would have targeted the mummies out of religious extremism, but in the end that threat inspired the Egyptians to show MORE reverence for the mummies than they otherwise might have done.

as a dm my favorite thing about starting a new dnd campaign is prepping all of these throw away npcs, and some npcs that could be worth keeping/revisiting, but knowing if you fuck up and do something like make an npc too pathetic, or name a goblin ‘devin’ or something youre going to have to account for the players deciding that this is the character they want to keep around

Increase your email security

Stop signing petitions vs terror bill on change.org as this is what they’re using to redtag (remember the influx of fake accounts? Yeah)

Instead, send emails to your representatives using a vpn

Have your lawyer’s number on standby

Be aware of your rights (i will post a refresher here later on)

Look out for your friends and family
