my names Dreamer i'm a 22yo two spirit Dene from the Northwest Territories.

to get straight to the point i've had two suicide attempts in the past year, i've lost housing more times than i'd like to count, my dog was shot, both my parents made attempts on their lives before finally separating, i lost my job to discrimination for being a dyke, the community i went to school in and moved back to flooded, i'll likely never see my younger brother again, my landlords are extremely volatile who have domestic alterations weekly, rent is due soon, my dog attacked a porcupine and now one of the quills i couldn't remove is infected and if it wasn't clear by now i can't afford any of this.

I really don't know what to do at this point and my other posts have lost traction. i don't have a home anymore and my living situation right now is temporary and precarious.

i was able to gather all the documentation i need and get most of my affairs in order so that i can fly to florida with my dog and move in with my girlfriend. i'm not sure how much longer i can keep this up and i hate to be begging again but any help i could get would be so so appreciated.

i hate to circulate this post again but i need more help.

i paid rent for last month and this month, and i was able to treat gonzo, but i haven't been able to schedule a vet appointment until now since the closest clinic is 8 hours away and i dont own a vehicle or a license. i finally found someone willing to take my dog for me but the clinic requires an $800 deposit for animals from outside of the community that require boarding.

in order to cross the US border together gonzo needs to be vaccinated for rabies. he means more to me than i can say and i cant leave him behind but i cant stay here for much longer. if you've been following my posts then you'll know why i feel so unsafe here but i dont want to elaborate anymore. any help at all is appreciated thank you so much to everyone thats donated already.

hey!! i love your art and i was wondering if you have any advice on drawing horses in a stylised way? my sona is a horse and i’m finding it tricky to draw his face/body :/ thank you!!

Horses are really fun to draw because they are one of those animals you can stylize in SO many ways and it still reads as a horse. Also, I feel like there used to be a lot of dislike for horse furries in the past, but it's a lot better because people have learned to stylize horses in some really fun ways!

There's really no right or wrong way to stylize an animal. I think a guideline is that it Should look like the animal in the end, but by that it doesn't matter what shape you go with for nose, ears, etc. as long as it reads as that animal. Of course it also doesn't have to! And horses are pretty forgiving for stylizing

Anyways, the way I stylize horses, I do 3 main things

I shorten the muzzle

I simplify the nostrils/nose

I try to keep the neck somewhat thick/large too

This is just how I personally do it. It's just based on my preferences and how I like horse ocs to look. There's no right or wrong way, some people prefer horses with realistic noses or longer muzzles. You can try experimenting and drawing your horse based on how i do it and see if that works for you. You can trace over my visual for practice too.
