Gustav Klimt, Bauerngarten (Blumengarten) / Cottage garden, 1907. Oil on canvas. Vienna, Austria. Sold at Sothebyâs for about $59 million.
Comic adaptation of The Night Came Slowly by Kate Chopin. One of the most beautiful pieces of writing out there... hope I did it justice.
The final four cards of my tarot project.
Part two of my tarot project.Â
Part one of my huge end-of-year tarot project. This was my final for my contemporary practices class at MICA, and was really personal to me - each card features someone who Iâve been thinking about in the midst of this pandemic.Â
Full-body self portrait. This is easily the largest I have ever worked, about 30x60âł. This was done in pen and india ink.
Illustration for a banner on the Lucky Jefferson Literary Magazine website. This illustration was specifically for National Poetry Month, and its one of my favorite pieces Iâve done this year.
An illustration to accompany a piece of poetry called The Feral One. I donât know the author, but Iâll update this as soon as I find out. This was another illustration for my internship with Lucky Jefferson Literary Magazine.
An illustration I created for my internship with Lucky Jefferson Literary Magazine. This accompanies the poem Don't Write Me Off by Jenine Baines.
A personal favorite of mine. This is my illustration to accompany the folktale The Catâs Elopment, but with a witchy twist.
Unofficial gig poster for a Laura Marling concert. I have to confess that I donât know her work very well - I was assigned to create a poster for her randomly. If youâd like to see a higher quality image of this poster, check out my professional portfolio:Â https://sophiedanner00.wixsite.com/mysite-2
Spiced chai food illustration.
The etching and the print :) One of my favorite projects of the semester. For my intro to printmaking class!
This piece was made entirely of cut paper (plus some color editing in photoshop)
An illustration of my dream kitchen for an environment assignment. You can watch a speedpaint of my process here:Â https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UAYSj0V381w
the prompt was âthey sat on the old cot with the checkerboard between themâ. apparently i didnât read the prompt well enough because I drew chess, not checkers, but iâm still proud of this piece.
