yandere alphabet
authors note: opening requests for messages for this yandere alphabet by @dear-yandere. so feel free to request for dex or adrian or anyone you want from my list of fandoms. reposting for the sake of visibility.
send in whatever letter you want me to do for your totally normal guy or gal.
warnings: dark content, abduction, it's yandere so it's just not good, guys. read and request at your own risk.
MINORS, DO NOT INTERACT.
.~. hands .~.
Sometimes you've got to hold your own hand.
For all the ugly things they had done, their entwined hands looked beautiful together.
The letter in their hand felt like it weighed a ton.
"My hand in your hand, it's all I need."
She looked down at her clean hands and wondered if the blood she felt would ever go away.
"Wanna hold hands with me?"
It's nice to be safe, but why does your guardian angel have to hold your hand all the time to keep you safe.
The sword lay heavy in his hand, but it was all the responsibility on his shoulders that really weighed him down.
"Would you be so kind to keep your cold hands to yourself?"
The coffee in her hand felt like a lifeline this morning.
"I wanted to take your hand. I wanted to take it so badly."
They only realised they were holding hands the entire time, the moment they had to let go.
In her hand everything seems to become a weapon.
"Relax, it was one time. You don't have to ask for my hand in marriage - yet."
They weren't ready to let go yet. Not of the other's hand, but also not of the false sense of safety the other provided.
Sometimes the hand holding your own is the only thing that connects you to the world.
Present your character with a choice that tests their values. What line won’t they cross—and why?
"You make it very hard to love you and take care of you sometimes but that doesn't mean I've ever stopped or ever will."
When a character wakes up from a vivid nightmare about losing someone close to them and it shakes them to their core. No matter how much they tell themselves it was only a dream, they need to see B, hear B's voice, anything to be sure that B is alive and clear the haunting dream from their mind.
as much as I love badass characters pushing through pain to fight, I also love when they hit a point where they just can't. something structural is wrong or broken, so they can't stand. their muscles are simply too weak and overworked to hold them up. their bloody hands slip off the handles of their weapons, they can't aim through their vertigo or tunneling vision, they shake from blood loss or exhaustion even if not from fear. they've just reached their limit, and no amount of willpower will change that!
whumpee being choked out during the rape, being viscerally reminded that their life is in the hands of someone who couldn’t care less about their well-being. maybe they even black out and wake up to it still happening. and of course afterwards, seeing the bloodshot eyes and bruised neck in the mirror knowing they have to find some way to hide it.
oh that’s so, so brutal, i love that. the sheer helpless terror of knowing that all they can do is hope whumper will let go before they pass out, before they die. and the thought of blacking out and coming to still being raped, oh my god. it seems endless. it’s never going to stop. and the intensity of direct eye contact while they’re being assaulted, choked, hurt so, so badly. it’s up close and intimate and devastating.
and the pain afterwards. not just having to hide the bruising and hope no one has questions about their bloodshot eyes, but the way their throat feels swollen and abused. the way speech is like choking on glass. the way any option for hiding the bruising could be so triggering, too - the pressure of a turtleneck, the hyperawareness of how easy it would be to seize the ends of a scarf and strangle them again. they’re chugging hot tea and trying to keep their head down, praying no one sees. no one asks questions.

When do they consider someone no longer a person? If someone remembers nothing, are they still themselves?
When do they feel the most alone?
When do they think survival becomes pointless?
When thinking about themselves, are they a soul, a consciousness, or a body? Do they think as I, we, or you?
Which do they fear more, the deep ocean or the reaches of space?
Would they behave differently if they knew they were always being observed (but not judged) by a higher power?
Renting your body while sleeping is the new way to earn some extra cash. Having recently been fired, you decide to try it tonight. You hook yourself up to the machine, but when you wake up, however, your body is sore and bruised, and you find out it’s been 3 months since you went to sleep.
Writing villains people actually fear (and remember)
It’s not about darkness. It’s about precision.
1. Give them a contradiction. Villains are scariest when they’re almost human. “He always apologised before hurting someone.”
2. Let them think they’re right. No moustache twirling — just conviction. “I’m not saving the world. I’m correcting it.”
3. Give them a normal habit that becomes unsettling. • humming off-key • straightening objects mid-argument • collecting people’s abandoned pens
4. Make their kindness selective. Kind to dogs. Cruel to friends. Kind to children. Absent to their own.
5. Make their presence change a room. Not with theatrics — with tone. “The laughter thinned when he stepped inside.”
How to make antagonists who aren’t evil (but still hurt you)
Some of the best antagonists are just… people.
1. Give them the same goal as the hero — different methods. Hero wants peace. Antagonist wants peace. Hero uses unity; antagonist uses control.
2. Let the antagonist be right sometimes. That stings.
3. Make the hero almost agree with them. “You’re not wrong,” she admitted. “But you’re not right either.”
4. Show glimpses of softness. “He tucked the child’s drawing into his coat.”
5. Let them break their own rules. Instant complexity.
there’s something about hands:
• splayed flat over someone’s chest, a warm, grounding anchor. “easy. easy. lay still.”
• knuckles raked across a sternum. “come on back now… that’s it. there you are. deep breaths for me.”
• the vulnerability of uncovering a painful wound to let someone else inspect it. “i promise i’ll be really gentle, but i have to take a look.”
• gently frantic. “oh my god. is that blood? is all of that yours?”
• A held captive, strung up to the rafters by their wrists. B finally rushes in, clutches A’s face in their hands, tips their chin up. desperately searches for any hint of awareness. “A. A, look at me. please look at me. i need a medic over here!”
• B’s cool hand pressed against A’s fever-hot forehead. bonus points if they cup the back of A’s head with the other hand at the same time. A closes their eyes and leans into the touch ever so slightly.
FACIAL MICRO EXPRESSIONS FOR WRITERS <3
You are a villain who can see people's deepest regrets. One day, you confront your heroic archnemesis and see that their greatest regret is... not saving you, years ago.
Tips for writing those gala scenes, from someone who goes to them occasionally:
Generally you unbutton and re-button a suit coat when you sit down and stand up.
You’re supposed to hold wine or champagne glasses by the stem to avoid warming up the liquid inside. A character out of their depth might hold the glass around the sides instead.
When rich/important people forget your name and they’re drunk, they usually just tell you that they don’t remember or completely skip over any opportunity to use your name so they don’t look silly.
A good way to indicate you don’t want to shake someone’s hand at an event is to hold a drink in your right hand (and if you’re a woman, a purse in the other so you definitely can’t shift the glass to another hand and then shake)
Americans who still kiss cheeks as a welcome generally don’t press lips to cheeks, it’s more of a touch of cheek to cheek or even a hover (these days, mostly to avoid smudging a woman’s makeup)
The distinctions between dress codes (black tie, cocktail, etc) are very intricate but obvious to those who know how to look. If you wear a short skirt to a black tie event for example, people would clock that instantly even if the dress itself was very formal. Same thing goes for certain articles of men’s clothing.
Open bars / cash bars at events usually carry limited options. They’re meant to serve lots of people very quickly, so nobody is getting a cosmo or a Manhattan etc.
Members of the press generally aren’t allowed to freely circulate at nicer galas/events without a very good reason. When they do, they need to identify themselves before talking with someone.
"Sorry kid, it's nothing personal." "First, I'm 35. I am not a kid. Second, you broke into my home, killed the love of my life and kidnapped my child at school, and you are trying to tell me it's nothing personal?"
