Mostly a curse... 😒
For years I've suffered from an Autoimmume disease that prevents my eyebrows from growing in. My girl @sandifoxy at @couturebrowsslc made me look gooooorge yesterday! Seriously she does THE best work!
I debated whether to share this or not. Like many, I want to always show my "best self" on social media. But my personality is raw and it's real. I'm vulnerable, open, and try to be as genuine as they come. In July I made a decision to compete in the 2017 March NPC show. The pic on the left is Aug, the pic on the right is October. My coach has me eating more calories than I've ever had on a plan before. My weight is UP by 8 lbs. I thought for sure I was doing something wrong. But pictures tell you exactly what is going on despite what you put in MyFitnessPal, despite what the scale says, despite how frustrated you are if you didn't have the best lifts. I am so, so grateful to have found my coach, @fitbliss_lynnds and at this point if I came in dead last the internal and external growth that has come from this is enough of a win for me. (Haha ok, ok of course I want a "win." I'm too competitive for that ish.) 🙄

An emotional day for me… I’ve been feeling rejection all over the place and I found some blocked texts from the ex I hadn’t seen before…
Everything felt off… My lifts were off. My balance was off. My mind was all over.
The weight I lifted wasn’t what I have been lifting. I wasn’t going as fast as I normally do. I was getting distracted between sets. But I know “off” days should never become full on bad days.
And besides, have you seen the booties on those #fitblissgirls???I’ve gotta keep up! 😆🍑 (at Big Mountain Barbell)
Lately my life feels as if it's not making a whole lot of sense and I've had a LOT of days where I just feel... "empty." So today I am reminding myself that things don't always have to make sense, progression can come from pain, and tough times shape us into who we are. So here's to the good days and the bad... And also to the creators of ice cream, soft blankies, and Netflix. 😋

Love more. Judge less.
"You never have to explain yourself to anyone. If someone can't accept you for you- then it's time to move on." I love the constant reminders I have to "judge less and love more." Every day, someone or something comes into my life and teaches me more and more this extremely important lesson. If you find yourself constantly judging or belittling others, or looking down on their current or past actions, then maybe it's time to look at yourself a little more deeply. More times than not you'll find it's reasons within yourself for why you might be loving a little less, and judging a little more than you should be...
Balance.. steady.. breath..
Finding true happiness requires one thing- balance. Sounds simple, right? It is. Easy? Absolutely not.
Balance requires completely knowing oneself, feeding it and fueling it to perform at its peak, finding peace, rest, and resolve, and finding the moments to connect to the beautiful earth and energy that surrounds us.
Knowing yourself- find your passion, wake up every day feeling excited and alive, ready to take on whatever the day brings. Be passionate with the people you meet every day. Realize they are there for a divine reason.
Fuel- defeat addiction. A healthy state of mind allows us to no longer need food for comfort, convenience, or boredom. List your favorite healthy foods, make sure they’re always on your shopping list. Make choices not solely out of vanity or weight loss because those are powered by ego. Make choices out of love for yourself… love for the incredible body God has blessed you with.
Peace and rest- balance cannot come from a tired mind or an overworked body. Rest comes from more than just 6 to 8 hours of sleep. Meditation is often not sought out because it’s “difficult” or “confusing.” Just a few minutes a day, in a peaceful spot is all that is needed. A few minutes of allowing yourself to think of nothing, opens up vast opportunities to think, know, and feel more than you have ever realized.
Ironically, it is the rest that brings peace and stitches everything together. It is the rest that allows us to love ourselves and others. It’s the rest that opens our minds to the thoughts and feelings that allow us to overcome addictions and take care of ourselves. It is the rest that powers the “ah ha” moments as we recognize the powerful connections through our interactions with others.
