This is the post that catapulted me into my onigiri obsession.

The beauty about onigiri is that they’re so customizable.

Don’t like nori? Don’t stick nori on it.

Don’t like tuna? Add a different filling. As long as it’s not watery/wet, and it’s salty and flavorful, it’ll work.

Don’t know what to fill your rice ball with? Don’t. Eat a ball of lightly salted rice and have some meat or veggies on the side.

Having trouble shaping it into a triangle? Leave it as a sphere.
