Liam takes a steadying breath, focusing on what he sees, not want he feels. Because if he follows that script of rage and blame…he doesn’t want to think about it. Maybe he could blame the boy for what he is now, for dragging him to the hospital roof, but then he could go blame Scott for breaking his ankle in the first place, or the Mute for restraining Scott so that he had the choice of bite him or let him die. No, that wasn’t the way. This wasn’t the way.
He moves forward again, slowly, still wary. He’s faster now too —less dangerous since he knows he can get away. The other’s heartbeat fills his ears and he slowly nods, coming to a halt.
”I believe you.”
But his voice still holds a note of doubt.
Before all…this, he might have taken up the offer, slashed with claws and felt the satisfaction of skin tearing and blood flowing, but no. He is in control now, and revenge, revenge for what. Exactly?
”I want to.”
He admits, part for revenge, part instinct.
”But I’m not.”
Sean's head is still rested back against the cold surface of the wall as he waits for any type of response from Liam. His head is craned back just in case the beta does want to cause him harm for revenge, and lets out a small sigh of frustration when he hears that he wont be acting on his impulses. The sixteen year old just wanted it all to END. The hunger, the guilt, all of it. Sure, maybe over the past few weeks, he gained a slight bit more control over his own impulses but that made it possible to feel more guilt.
”Please....just.”
There's a small crack in his voice as he speaks, looking up at the other.
"I'll tell you the right way to kill one of us. The Mute had no idea what he was doing. Please. There's no reason why I should be here, this hurts and I hate wanting to do this to people."
