I still think it’s funny that I crossed into another country with a small child without the other parent and no one so much as blinked, but they REALLY inspected the paperwork for the dog.

I got the permission letter notarized! I was convinced they would think I was kidnapping my kid. Especially since I have a different citizenship.

Just funny what they end up examining in the mess that is travel.

A week to go until I bid farewell to the Midwest of the USA. I’m in a perpetual state of anxiety and stress.

However, I test packed my suitcase to see how much it weighed and apparently most of my valuables/personal pieces come out to about 30lbs. My life weighs less than my kid.

Due to the change in weather and seasons (duh) our outside garden is slumbering. We moved some stuff inside, and it has been long enough that the ones that survived the transition are clear.

I’m only left with one tomato plant. However, it is the Super Plant. This thing endured transition, and killed its competition. This thing is spreading out as far as it can, and produces tomatoes in large clumps. A clump will have 6-9 tomatoes! I’m gonna call it The Beast.
