one of THE cuntiest albums dropped by a beautiful human being, it really doesn’t get better than that.

“off the wall” is such an essential album in michael’s discography, it was so needed in order for michael to have that smooth transition from child star to the young man he was becoming in the public eye. i view it as the equivalent to janet’s “control”, in terms of both albums’ themes of liberation and freedom that comes with young adulthood. i could write an essay about how important that album is not only to michael’s career, but how well it resonates with young black listeners like myself.
