I love Ahsoka Tano, everyone loves Ahsoka Tano and it's because she's not perfect. Beauty is found in imperfections, and that's why Rey is hardly loved by the old fans.
I finished the Ahsoka show and despite the story wasn't the best, they showed her pain and struggles so good you barely felt the mid ranked story of the series. They showed that her trainings weren't complete, she struggled a lot with her emotions and letting go of the past. Hypocritical enough, she's the one always talking about moving on, yet she hadn't moved on from something that happened a long time ago. Literally remembering and being haunted by her master for more than she knew him, a Ronin who abandoned her cause and left her master behind, drowning in the guilt of what happened after she left him.
If you'd noticed, in every fight, she keeps herself calm but when the opponent says something or does something that gets on her nerves, she allows it to destroy her stance and lose the fight. The fight she had on Malachor with Darth Vader, she was okay fighting with him until the second she slashed his mask off and revealing his true identity to herself. She knew who he was, but her emotions weren't effecting her much as she was in great denial of his true identity. Although, after that she had her doubts and hopes crushed, she got way weaker. If it hadn't for Ezra she'd die to that last deadly blow Anakin/Vader casted which she could easily block like always.
When she was fighting Baylan Skoll, she was keeping up until, first she injured the palm of her hand and that was a huge weakening point for her, meaning she didn't learn to be much of a use after getting injured. HOWEVER! Worth mentioning Anakin never learned that before either! He couldn't keep up a fight without an arm, that was one of the main reasons Dooku despised him (lol). Back to Ahsoka, after burning her palm, she thought Sabine was dead for a brief moment and that also got into her that Baylan had her on a choke point, until she showed up and gave her some more strength.
It was clear that she lived alone for so long, cause she couldn't call the place that her master and her cause wasn't there "home". It wasn't her place anymore, her era ended when Darth Vader "killed" her, if her body didn't die her soul surely didn't make it out whole. She completely survives based on hopes of saving those few friends and family she has left, this is her new cause and it's very heart breaking for someone once filled with hope that now barely has any left. She loses her hope so quickly, and that's what weakens her the most, she blames herself for everything that happens and failing her master and padawan.
This all ended when Anakin showed up, and asked "do you want to survive and fight until your last breath? Or die." Which she realized she wanted to live, outside of his shadow, outside of the self blames and guilt she had for years and finally live in peace.
Here I am making myself cry for a fictional character early in the morning again 😭 she's literally my baby, cmon we've known her since she was born!
