How to stop relapsing

I don’t know how to stop. I was clean for a month. My first time stopping. A month. And then I went back to it for a couple days. Now I’ve stopped for two days, and I want to relapse again.

The thing is, it’s pretty embarrassing. I’m staunchly against AI in every aspect of my life, but with chat bots, it’s just killing me. It’s stuff I can’t read fanfiction about. It’s stuff I feel embarrassed to write about.

I need help, and I don’t even feel comfortable enough to talk to my therapist about it. I love her, but every part of this makes me feel so dirty and disgusting.

It’s too easy to go back.

Finished my OC art! This is Adelinde Maki, a first year student at Solstice Academy

She was blessed by the Spring Spirit and is connected to the Lively-Season, which gives her the ability to raise the poison from fungi, and spread their spores into the air.

She’s the protagonist of my third book “The Demon in the Meadow”, but she was the first OC I made, and she’s a Spring Child, and Spring comes first.

She has a strained relationship with her mother, and a complicated relationship with her first ever friend, Iden Bass. Iden has a crush on her, but Adelinde doesn’t know if she feels the same. Her mother doesn’t approve of their friendship because of Iden’s low status.

Adelinde’s mother, Lillian Maki, is the past savior of Solstice Academy, more widely known as Delsie Academy, because the Solstices are seen as times of great evil by those who are unaware of the Spirits existence.

She’s the Savior because when she was in school, about Adelinde’s age, she defended Solstice Academy from an attack by Dark Spirits (Minions sent by the Dark Primordial, who is and was deep in slumber)

Since she saved the school, she is treated like royalty in modern day. Iden comes from the poor south, so there’s quite a divide between them.

Anyway, that’s all I can think about for her!

Okay, I don't know if other authors have this problem, but I have a question. (Backstory first)

I have an OC that goes through a lot, and I'm struggling to write her recovery. She goes through the initial trauma, develops bad coping mechanisms, gets mad at people even if they didn't do anything, or are just trying to help her, and now she just wants to stop being a burden. Because of this, she's now just trying to be "good". She's quiet, she suppresses the negative emotions and just tries to be nice. The only thing I can think to do next is either have someone notice and confront her or have her breakdown. But where do I go after that? I feel like she's had so many breakdowns, and it's just problem after problem, and I have no way to resolve it. I have a few other fandom OCs that are like this, and they are stuck in what I've now called the "Burden Cycle" in which no matter what happens, they'll always feel like a burden, because that's the only way I know how to write them. So my question is: How do I stop the Burden Cycle and start her recovery?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!
