Actually, I think the worst part of BPD is being highly self aware yet still unable to change your behaviors. And it's like watching yourself do the same things over and over but you have no idea how to stop it.
This is where heavy therapy is needed. You’re never gonna be perfect. But you can learn the patterns and stop the process before you put your life into chaos. It takes time. It’s not easy. Im still working on it at my age. But it does get better. And you don’t have to hurt the people you love around you.
When I reblogged this, I should have mentioned DBT as the most effective therapy for BPD. If I try to explain it real quick, I'll end up writing over three pages and still not finish.
It's easy to look up. DBT can give any of us skills to overcome many mental health issues. It just takes the motivation to change how our lives are going. Nobody's going to do it for me. I can't change other people. But I can learn how to ask them in a way that has a better chance of working. So, actually, DBT is also great for dealing with folks who have various mental health issues. It's something we can do for ourselves and other people at the same time.
Maybe there's some disagreement about who has communication issues, boundary issues, unchecked distress, emotional disregulation... Practice DBT skills and you'll at least be a part of the solution. AA, ALANON, and, CODA are like that. You get yourself squared away, then the other person with "the" problem has no choice but to get their shit together or buzz off and stop messing up your scene...

Am I supposed to trim my pubic hair?
Someone asked us:
Am I supposed to trim my pubic hair? Should I wash it? Is it unhealthy to shave it/wash it? I’m very unsure what to do with my pubic hair in general (from a vulva-having person)
What you do with your body hair is 100% up to you. It’s all about what makes you feel comfortable and lines up with your values.
Here are some of your options:
Leave it alone and keep it au naturel
Trim it with scissors or clippers.
Shave some or all of it off.
Wax some or all of it off at a salon.
Use a depilatory cream or gel to remove your pubic hair from your inner thighs (Note: These may be okay for hair on your thighs, but steer clear of putting these products on your vulva or butt. They can be majorly irritating in those sensitive areas.)
Get longer-term treatments from a licensed professional like laser hair removal or electrolysis.
If you go the DIY route, be careful with sharp objects and depilatory creams/gels. And leave the waxing to licensed cosmetologists.
Considering laser hair removal or electrolysis? Talk with a dermatologist to figure out if it’s right for you. While both of these options are generally safe, there are some risks (like pain, scarring, and skin discoloration) and they’re much more expensive than other options. And electrolysis is meant to be permanent, so be 100% sure you want that hair gone for good.
Wash your pubic hair in the shower or bath just like how you wash the rest of your body. A mild soap and warm water does the trick. There’s no need to buy any special “feminine care” products.

Some of you young bucks have no idea what you're in for. Luxuriate in your healthy prostates while you can.
Anyone who unironically says "inb4" and "but muh" is a total piece of garbage and should be thrown into the nearest volcano.
Anyone who frequently uses the word "unironically" should as well.
Anyone who doesn't admit to being just as hypocritical as everyone else...
Everyone who makes lists on the internet about who sucks and should be disposed of in volcanoes--sucks and should be thrown into volcanoes.
Anyone who criticizes people on the internet for making lists should too.
Anyone who calls out people for using their given right to criticize things should be thrown into those volcanoes.
Anyone who says someone should be thrown into a volcanoe for "calling out" whoever is someone who belongs in a volcano.
Everyone belongs in their own volcano, a nice, warm, happy volcano, rent-free, tax-free. No HOA, no neighbors for miles. No pesky mail-carriers, Amazon trucks, UPS, Fed-Ex... What it’s like to be slut-shamed when buying birth control
Even when pharmacists do let people access contraception, whether emergency contraception or condoms or prescription birth control pills, the process isn’t always free of judgment. In a series of recent online discussions, people across the country have begun to share stories of the stigma they’ve experienced. As many have pointed out, this can be especially damaging to teens.
DO YOU SEE THIS? PHARMACY EMPLOYEES IN THE U.S. ARE NOT LEGALLY ALLOWED TO DO THIS. THAT GOES FOR THE PEOPLE AT THE FRONT AS WELL AS PEOPLE IN WHITE COATS BEHIND THE CAGE.
If an employee in a pharmacy makes a snide comment - Front store workers, pharmacists, or Pharmacy Techs give you shit? Gently (Or not so gently) remind them that the waiver they signed upon being hired legally binds them from commenting on your purchase, as it is a violation of privacy laws. Doing so is grounds for INSTANT termination and hefty fines.
Pharmacy workers (white coats) are legally obligated to ASK if you need an explanation of how medication works and any side effects, any medication conflicts etc. If you decline, THEY ARE NOT ALLOWED AT ALL TO MAKE SNIDE REMARKS OR FARTHER COMMENT ON YOUR PURCHASE. FRONT STORE EMPLOYEES CAN NOT AT ALL COMMENT IN ANY WAY, IN ANY STORE WITH A PHARMACY IN IT.
Know your rights. If this shit happens? Call them the fuck out and ask to speak to a manager. Get worked up. Cause a scene. Threaten a Lawsuit. If you see this happening to someone else, and they seem to be struggling, speak up for them.
As a Pharmacy worker, you bet your ass I’ll protect you and your privacy. IT’S MY JOB.
yes please fucking god call them out and make threats
I’ve become very not a fan of “calling out” in general. (Those who already recognize the shitty behavior/effect on others don’t need it pointed out. Those who don’t will just dig in their heels. But!)
THIS IS DIFFERENT. These are people in a moderate position of authority, making their shitty aggressively passive aggressive behavior seriously petty and insanely inappropriate (a kind of insult to injury?). Like, “I’m not going to take that kind of shit from anybody, but especially not a tacky shit-heel like YOU.” (Calling out pettiness and tackiness is pretty high on my list actually. I’ll have to seriously rewrite my policies on this.) They’re going against ethics in a way they should–and need to–know better not to in order to keep their well-paid job.
Correcting them is way called for. And we can take very effective actions:
Write a letter to the manager, owner, regional office, and anyone else above them in authority. Send the same letter to as many of these as you can find. If that pharmacist is the sole owner, then report them to the local or state authority on pharmacies. Seek advice from any clinician you trust. They are super helpful as long as they’re an ally. And Consider:
Being calm while writing. A “cold approach” gets to them better than “heated.” Don’t threaten. State consequences that don’t involve coming across as criminal, a physical threat, etc. Avoid jail time. (All out anarchism tactics are another track all together. So, well, you know…)
Feel free to keep it short. You don’t owe them extra time and patience.
You also don’t need to include what product you were obtaining. Especially if you suspect the recipient of the letter will be biased, just like the first jerk…
In any instance, make the letter anonymous if you don’t feel safe being identified.
Always seek the support of a trusted friend or colleague. This crap can be so taxing. Strength in numbers.
These bastards need to be on the hook for this bullshit they perpetuate, figuratively. Plus any others enabling their behavior.
One addendum: There are many instances where ragging out any pharmacy staff is not OK, such as when you think they're being unfair with a medication your doctor and/or health coverage is restricting, etc. Pharmacies do not have a way to magically change your prescription or just not charge you. That's not their job, that's not what they do. It's against the law and would get them shut down. Stop abusing them for this. Take it up with your doctor, your health plan, go to urgent care, the ER.
But what's also not within their rights is to restrict anyone's access to birth control, nor to make snide comments, etc. Those are things they should be reported for. Embarrass them the way they're trying to embarrass you. Like, loudly, right in front of everyone, tell them, "Where do you get off with this bullshit? Do you even know where you work? You are the most unprofessional [tech/staff/pharmacist] I've ever met. Do you have any idea how much business you're going to lose over this?"
This is not being a "Karen." Of course.
Anyway, we all need help and support, and especially now more than ever. Band together, people. Please.

I believe this can be true, but not the way we think about it as seen above. The things that will stick in my mind are not all those worst things others said, but other way more random things they probably don't even remember. And the curse is me thinking about them for the rest of my life. In addition to the deathly awkward things I've said, which I are even more stuck in my head. What else is particularly haunting is that there must be five times as many embarrassing stupid things I've said in front of others than I've heard from others. That ratio would be the opposite at least if I weren't inordinately awkward. Some of the things were inappropriate. Some were misspoken attempts to be funny or clever. Some were so badly phrased that there was no recovering from it. What I'm saying is that I've said way more of these than anyone I've spent time around. AND that my flubbs are mostly worse than others'. Years later, someone out there really is thinking, "Why would he say that? Did his brain not work right? Because there was that other time too. Why would anyone say that around so many people?? I can't even imagine living that down, much less ever gong to dinner with those people ever again. It even kinda ruined the card game." But no, there are things that we regret for the rest of our lives that don't matter in the least to anybody else. Unless you're talking about those bodies you helped your cousin bury out in the forest. Because the ground was so hard to dig through. And you blamed each other for some reason? I can't remember, did you change location, or did you just make do somehow. Oh, you found a spot with fewer roots, but it was still pretty shallow. So you collected a bunch of dead wood and whatever else you could tote over to the site. You even ripped up some shrubs. That was so awkward, I almost forgot about that! You looked so silly and it didn't really help! HAHAHAH! I wonder how badly the decomposition was, like could anybody have smelled it if they were anywhere within a few thousand feet? Hahahah Did you remember to remove all the identifying items? Wallets, watches shoes and whatnot? I know it was years ago, but things like that can be matched up... What if one of them had an artificial hip replacement or something. Totally they can match those, serial numbers or something. No, I'm not trying to freak you out, I know you're sensitive about it. Okay, that's not the right word. But it's delicate. I'm just saying. I mean, yeah, I would help you go out there and go through the bones and whatnot, but... Shouldn't this be your cousin's problem mostly? ...Oh really? That's unfortunate, wow, that sucks. Oh, dental work. Wait, is that a thing? Or just from TV? Like if they have no idea whose filings they might be, then how would... oh, shit, right. They'd take the approximate age of the corpses and match that to all the missing persons around that time. Fuck. Hmm? Um, I do know one lawyer, but he isn't that kind. He does like, probate, audits, insurance stuff or something? No, I doubt he's very good. He seems like the assistant, like a back-up lawyer. Yeah, no I don't think so. Like, I don't think he networks very well? He doesn't sound very... popular at his firm. And it's not like any kind of well known firm or anything. Not low-budget exactly, but they don't get- like their clients aren't anybody I've ever heard of. Yes, that's true. Ibiza is a pretty affordable place to live. Why?
I know I'm preaching to the choir here, but isn't Tumblr absolutely fantastic? It's fun, the posts are hilarious, and people get to interact with each

I know I'm preaching to the choir here, but isn't Tumblr absolutely fantastic? It's fun, the posts are hilarious, and people get to interact with each
For every 20+ posts that'll show you why you need tumblr in your life, there are 2,0000 that show you that you totally don't...
Now After looking at that blogpost(?) Or whateverthefuck that was supposed to be, I think that "featured" should be flagged, marked as inappropriate, and suspended permanently for posting content that gives our eyes and brains mesothelioma.
Where was that from? "Featured?"
The way they slowly get split up and go missing is sending me
Everything on my phone is fucking up today. I smell something coming out the heater vent? Wtf? I can't even start a tumblr post, much less finish one, and least of all get any text to post.
So I'm going to just shitpost nothing but thoughts. Stupid ranting thoughts. Because everything is being a dick to me today. Fuck everything. Fuck the world. Fuck everybody standing in my way. I'm not going to be hostage to your bullshit.
I'm going to to anything I have to do to get where I need to be. I'm following my own path. I'm using my own solutions. I'm done with well meaning functionaries telling me they know better.
You asked for it. You're finding out because you fucked around instead of answering simple, valid questions. Why would I go of on your tangent and waste a whole week I could spend getting to the goal I already set. This is about me, remember? You? Fuck you.
