Take a look around your workspace real quick. Have you ever taken a moment to think about what things you couldn't live without? Like sure, that pen is probably replaceable, but what about your favorite model? Is that a pen you could do without? What other things in your office do you deem as irreplaceable?

We Are Super Mobile Friendly
Considering most of the current human population, on this gorgeous planet, now own a mobile device we thought it was time to respond by making our website responsive. Now Some Thing Visual dot com is as mobile friendly as ever thanks to many coffees and the proverbial burning of the midnight oil.
Over 75% of Brits now shop online. 60% of internet access is mainly mobile. 84% of smartphone and tablet users use their devices whilst watching TV. Fact!
It took last year to build and many many months of testing and tweaking; various poor friends were dragged into the process as well, by test driving it on all their “stupid fruit” devices I detest (bless em). Built on the brilliant Bootstrap framework I’m now happy to release the site to a wider audience and at last get on with keeping up to date with some Social Media shenanigans. Ooer! There’s plenty to look at and content is constantly being updated so please enjoy exploring. Some images are yet to be added to a few galleries, but there’s still much photography to get the visual teeth into. Once I’ve got permission to use other images of mine they will be appearing on the site as soon as possible. Ooh it’s so very exciting.
In other news..
If any of you are musically inclined I recently applied the same brush work to my band’s website too. Check us out here if you so desire to have your ears rumbled.

Five game-changing cameras that turned us into photographers
With two billion photographs now being uploaded daily, how did a technically complex pastime, once the preserve of the wealthy, become our most democratic art form? GIL PASTERNAK of De Montfort University presents the five cameras that turned us into a planet of photographers.
1. The Kodak 'Box' Brownie

Populists and Autocrats: The Dual Threat to Global Democracy
Key Findings
With populist and nationalist forces making significant gains in democratic states, 2016 marked the 11th consecutive year of decline in global freedom.
There were setbacks in political rights, civil liberties, or both, in a number of countries rated “Free” by the report, including Brazil, the Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Hungary, Poland, Serbia, South Africa, South Korea, Spain, Tunisia, and the United States.
Of the 195 countries assessed, 87 (45 percent) were rated Free, 59 (30 percent) Partly Free, and 49 (25 percent) Not Free.
The Middle East and North Africa region had the worst ratings in the world in 2016, followed closely by Eurasia.

WORLDS FIRST PEDESTRIANISED SKATEPARK!! BOLTON UK
Ha ha ha this made me chuckle. It’s really time to get back out properly on the ‘ol BMX again, and by the looks of it combat more of those strange creatures called “pedestrians” without taking off a limb with my back wheel or something… !
AIM AND STORY
The JUST A CARD campaign aims to encourage people to buy from Designer/Makers and Independent Galleries and Shops by reinforcing the message that all purchases, however small, even 'just a card' are so vital to the prosperity and survival of small businesses.
The campaign came about when Artist & Designer Sarah Hamilton saw the quote "If everyone who'd complimented our beautiful gallery had bought 'just a card' we'd still be open" by store keepers who'd recently closed their gallery. This prompted a call to action! Designer/Makers and independent shops and galleries need a voice. People seldom realise the considerable costs involved in exhibiting at design shows or keeping a shop open. Stand fees, power, materials, wages etc need to be met before even a penny of profit can be realised. Running a shop is often a labour of love. Without dedication and passion, and crucially sales, it would be another boarded up eyesore. READ MORE
