awww the like button turns into a rainbow when you press it! that's so cute...hey staff what's with all the trans women you keep nuking?
i think we should be ridiculing them more for this. you don't get to try and go all "queer website" when your staff likes to go on nuking sprees targeting the trans fem users
Cute little rainbow heart for pride month tumblr but how about you stop disproportionally banning trans women and marking sfw queer posts as mature
Happy pride month to him
I need your help To change me back Back into the woman I want to be, so this dragon Half-dragon, half-woman thing Take this burden Away from me
something about Tori Amos' 23 Peaks feels incredibly transgender to me, this shifting of the body and being physically liberated from pain. It is both hopeful and heartbreaking at the same time
She wrote âSong of Sorrow,â âFlood,â and âPyriteâ in his honor, as he became her protector when she âturned into a dragonââa personal rebirth and album motif she believes is up to anyoneâs interpretation: âWhether thatâs a person questioning their gender, a person deciding they want to have children, me going through menopause, whatever it is. Itâs metaphorical for deep, deep change.â

Oh hey, it's Skype a Scientist again, here to fund science education projects with COOL ART.
Introducing SHRIMP CITY!
Look cool as hell in while talking about shrimp science with your friends.
For example: đŚ Mantis Shrimp (who punch so fast they create pressure voids in the water that collapse to produce shockwaves, heat, and even a flash of light!) đŚ Pistol Shrimp (Instead of a punch, pistol shrimp create their shockwaves using the snap of their claws!) đŚ Hermit Crabs (who aren't "true" crabs, but Shrimp City is an inclusive town) đŚYeti Crabs (who live in Shrimp City's sister city, Hydrothermal Ventopolis, where they grow bacteria on their hairy arms that they lick off for a snack!) đŚ Insects (who are not shrimps per se, but did you know recent research suggests that insects group with the crustaceans?? You may have heard that shrimps is bugs, but nay⌠bugs is shrimp).
These shirts were designed by Philly designer The 666 Cat!
What kind of science education are you funding by buying a shirt, you ask? Well, lots of stuff, but here's a recent example:
Here's a mural all about local biodiversity that we painted in collaboration with a Philly public elementary school with local artist NDA!
We got the kids from the school to help us paint it and everything! These projects are educational and cute as hell.
So hey. Get a shirt <3
im not a girlblogger im an ADULT. im a WOMANblogger this is WOMANblogging
went to a new optometrist today wearing my squid facts âsave our freaksâ shirt from @sarahmackattack that has a strawberry squid on it. and i wasnât even thinking about it but the optometrist walked in and he was like âoh what does your shirt sayâ so i showed him and he was like âoh thatâs neat!â and then i thought he might like to know about strawberry squid eyes since they have weird eyes and he is an optometrist and all. so i was like âyeah itâs actually a real kind of squid called a strawberry squid, their eyes are really cool because they have one big yellow-green one and one small blue oneâ and he kind of gasped and went âoh my god thatâs so interesting i wonder why they have that. do you know what their retina composition is like?â and i watched as he minimized my chart on the computer and started looking up images of strawberry squid and then he googled âstrawberry squid retina compositionâ and he was like âsorry weâll get to your eye exam in a moment i just really want to find outâ LMAO 10/10 optometrist experience will be returning
Hell yeah
Heâs in the right for that this is so cool

Wally Dion, Green Star Quilt, 2019 circuit boards, brass wire, copper tube
I SAW THIS IN THE PORTLAND ART MUSEUM! ITS HUGE!
it shimmers like no gemstones i've ever seen: green as malachite and emerald but shot through with opal, gold, copper. photographs can't do it justice because of how it shines, as well as the way the actual material elements have their own dimensions. you can lean in and study all the fine lines of the circuits or step back and admire how the rearranged whole forms new patterns. it's one of the most beautiful creations i've ever seen.
